< The 'Quest' - Chapter XIII >
Orcs, Bullies, Canyons
Plot Summary
The group are moving through the Mervin Hills, it is around midnight and is very cold. The group long for their warm beds or at least a warm fire. In a few minutes they spot a small village. Shandor had been there before. Aolu, the owner of the sole tavern and old friend of Shandor, welcomes them and brings them to his tavern. He looks slightly nervous and odd. Aolu tries to stop it and gets drinks. When someone asks an innocent question Aolu snaps at him, yelling.
Finally he blurts out that Orcs, which Shandor and his old group had trapped a long time before, were freed by a Troll Shaman and now they are going to destroy Aolu's village.
The group hatch a plan, they would go to a valley with steep cliffs either side, that was a dead end. There they would lure the Orcs in and cause a rockslide, killing them. Shandor wishes to be bait. As do Tasselhoff, Vaedron, Varadrion and several more. They all say that Shandor, as a leader, is too important to risk his life as bait. Shandor argues that he will not ask anyone to risk their lives. They argue that they would go willingly. Shandor finally settles it by using his powers as leader to force them to accept that he will be bait and says if they argue he would run out to the Orc at that very second. Tas (Tasselhoff) refuses and says that he will go no matter what. Shandor sighs and accepts that Tas will come. They go upstairs to rest.
The next morning they ride out to the valley. The others began setting up the rockslide as Shandor and Tas run out to the Orcs. They call (mock and laugh) at the Orcs. They all charge towards the Elf and the Halfling. The Troll Shaman leader sat baffled. Shandor and Tas sprinted as fast as possible to the valley. They manage to get into it and begin clawing up the cliffs. The others cause the rockslide. The Orcs scream and cry out in confusion, being massacred. The group finish of the last couple as Varadrion and Galadmir kill the Troll.
They return to the tavern, to Aolu's praises, as quick as a blink a feast is set up in their honor. The group dine, cheer and toast to the 'heros'. They continue their fun far into the night.

Shandor mutters, 'I thought the Mervin hills were meant to be warmer...'
Dytalorien grins and paces about, meanderously.

Aerlyka clings to the mane of the big horse and wishes she had something hot to drink "How much further?"
Isondil sighs and looks up at the stars
Kamrock reaches into his pack, and pulls a Goat leg out, shortly after he throws it away.
Vaedron says, "What time do you think it is?"
Shandor says to Aerlyka, a new member of the group, 'I have no idea.'
Shandor turns to Vaedron, 'Midnight, maybe later.'
Vaedron grumbles to himself and tries to warm his hands by rubbing them together.
Tasselhof collects his knives
Aerlyka frowns. "Think we could stop for a bit then? Maybe have something hot to eat?"
[Narrator] The group spot a large village in a valley
Kamrock growls into the darkness behind him
Shandor says, 'Let's head there!'
Shandor smiles, 'They must have fire.'
Isondil pats his horse and looks around feeling tired
Vaedron says, "Great a village!"
Jenn nods,
Dytalorien looks at the village, "Hm.."
Tasselhof says "Onward!"
Vaedron smiles at the thought of a fire.
Kamrock yells, 'FOOD!, yes, I could eat a whole...um....'
Shandor tries to gallop forwards, but his horse stops dead.
Aerlyka smiles and nods. "Oh yes!"
Shandor sighs, 'Okay, let's go slower.'
Shandor smirks as the horse trots forward.
Vaedron begins to ride faster but looks back at Shandor and slows down.
Jenn walks alongside Shandor
Dytalorien moves forward, jogging briskly to keep himself warm.
Vaedron says, "I hope we get there soon."
Aerlyka clings even more tightly to the horse's mane. "Oh! Wait, wait.. slow down!"
[Narrator] The village is not spectacular, just a few cottages
Tasselhof slips through the trees
Kamrock pats his horse.
Shandor looks at them as they get closer.
Varadrion rides up beside Vaedron and nods to his friend
[Narrator] A Halfling charges towards Shandor, 'Shandor! Shandor! It's me, remember me, Aolu?'
Vaedron says, "I hope there is some vacant rooms at the local inn."
Shandor nods and smiles, 'How could I forget, how much damage did Thor do to your tavern?'
Dytalorien raises an eyebrow.
Vaedron stares at the little halfling wondering who he is.
Varadrion chuckles
[Narrator] The Halfling smiles, but the smile fades, 'I do wish you could have come at a better time.'
Isondil looks at the halfling
Tasselhof says "Tavern?"
Shandor raises an eyebrow, 'How so, old friend?'
Varadrion says "I don't like the sound of that"
Kamrock impatiently dismounts.
[Narrator] The Halfling purses his lips, 'No, not here, let's go to my tavern.'
Shandor nods and smiles, 'A most excellent idea.'
Aerlyka listens curiously
Kamrock growls at the halfling, 'Do you have food?'
Shandor follows the halflings Aolu, to a large cottage.
Dytalorien scratches his head, and follows along.
Vaedron follows after the Halfling.
Tasselhof eyes his kin
Tasselhof follows
Varadrion follows the group
[Narrator] Aolu looks at Kamrock, 'Don't growl at me you animal.'
Vaedron walks into the cottage.
Isondil follows Shandor slowly
Aerlyka lets the horse follow the other horses
Shandor enters the warm tavern
Shandor sighs, feeling the warmth race through him.
Kamrock growls, 'I growl at everyone, when I'm hungry.'
Jenn follows, yawning visibly
Dytalorien chuckles and enters the warmth of the tavern.
Shandor dashes over to a roaring fire.
Varadrion eyes Aolu, unimpressed with his bluntness
Vaedron rubs his hands together to gather feeling in them.
Tasselhof enters
Kamrock breaths in the warmth.
Shandor looks around, 'Rather empty tonight Aolu.'
Vaedron takes a seat next to the roaring fire.
Aerlyka rubs her legs, trying to get some feeling back into them
Isondil dismounts and enters the tavern slowly
[Narrator] Aolu looks a bit scared, 'Yes well...'
Tasselhof starts talking to the barkeep
Varadrion sits down in a quiet corner and looks around
[Narrator] The Halfling stops at the bar, 'Can I get anyone a drink?'
Aerlyka watches Aolu, sensing something is rather wrong here.
Tasselhof says "Ale, my friend!"
Shandor mutters, 'Good change of topic.' He speaks up, 'Yes, I'll have a dwarven ale.'
Kamrock pours a few gold onto the bar, 'An ale half a Goat?'
Vaedron says, "Yes, I would like a dwarven ale please."
Dytalorien nods to Aolu, "Some tea would be appreciated."
Aerlyka begins looking for various exits or places to hide, in case of trouble
Jenn looks to Aolu, "Tea sounds good."
Varadrion shouts to the barkeep "Two teas"
Tasselhof wispers to Shandor "I do not like him. Most of my kin are more cheery"
Vaedron says, "Feels nice to have and ale next to a warm fire."
[Narrator] Aolu nods taking down the orders. He dashes around the bar getting the drinks
Isondil shakes his head and walks over to sit beside Varadrion
Dytalorien smiles fondly at the sight of the little one scampering about busily.
Shandor says to Tasselhof, 'Worry not, his brother was killed by an orc, I doubt he has recovered from it.'
Varadrion nods at Tasselhof "it is unsettling to see a halfling in such a bad mood
Varadrion nods to Isondil
Tasselhof says "did I ever tell you guys about the time I...."
Tasselhof glitters off about a story
Shandor takes his and ale drinks until it is empty.
Vaedron notices his old friend Varadrion and nods to him.
Varadrion chuclkes at finally being noticed
Aerlyka sips at the hot chocolate, closing her eyes and enjoying the feeling of the warmth travelling into her tummy
Shandor says, 'So, rather empty tonight...'
Dytalorien sips at his tea, leaning against a nearby wall.
Vaedron raises his ale to Varadrion and says, "Greetings."
Isondil nods back and takes out a small phial and drinks it in one gulp
Jenn picks up her tea and flops down next to Varadrion
Shandor forgets what he just said, seeing Aolu's face.
Shandor says, 'I'll have another Dwarven ale, but you really must tell me what's going on.'
Varadrion raises his tea and shouts "Good to be back... again" and smiles
Kamrock slams his axe on the bar, 'Well, I'm going to just rest my eyes.'
Jenn murmers to Varadrion, "What do you spose is going on?"
[Narrator] Aolu nods, 'One dwarven ale.' Completely ignoring Shandor’s last comment.
Varadrion mutters back "I don't know... but it doesn't feel right at all"
Kamrock sits on the floor and leans against a wall.
Aerlyka watches Aolu, and frowns
Vaedron feels uneasy at the saddened halfling’s mood.
Dytalorien furrows his brows, contemplating.
Jenn nods slowly, sipping her tea
Shandor whispers to the group, 'Please, he lost his brother be a bit kinder.'
Aerlyka gets up and slips over to Aolu. "Do you need some help?
Vaedron nods to Shandor.
Varadrion pulls out a blowpipe and a rag and begins polishing it
Isondil looks around the bar slowly then rests his gaze on the door
[Narrator] Aolu looks flustered and nods at Aerlyka.
Varadrion tosses a dart filled with a black liquid toward Vaedron
Shandor says, trying to cheer Aolu up, 'Nice and cosy, as always.'
Aerlyka smiles a little. "What would you like me to do? Serve, or prepare?"
Kamrock snores, loudly, waking himself, 'Argh, hmm.'
Vaedron catches the dart and stares at it.
Jenn watches Vaedron with a bemused expression
Vaedron chuckles and tosses dart back.
Vaedron says, "You may need it."
Varadrion chuckles at Vaedron's look "Oil, its poisonous of course, but that’s only half the fun" and smiles
[Narrator] Aolu looks around, 'Oh ... I don't know, perhaps you could get Shandor an ale.'
Dytalorien absently blows some stray locks of white hair that falls upon his face.
Kamrock returns to the bar, and produces a long battered pipe.
Varadrion smiles at Vaedron and nods "Let's hope so, soon"
Aerlyka nods, troubled by how really distracted he is, but she goes behind the counter to find some ale
Vaedron turns his attention to the roaring fire and stares at is as if he is hypnotized.
Kamrock smiles and says gently, 'Have you any filler for my pipe?'
Varadrion sits back into a shadow and watches the group calmly
Isondil feels uneasy and takes his pipe and walks outside
[Narrator] Aolu looks at Kamrock and stops still for a moment. He suddenly shouts loudly, 'NO!'
Shandor is watching Aolu with concern.
Aerlyka searches around, the finds some ale and carries it over to Shandor. "Here you go."
Dytalorien blinks at the halfling's tone.
Jenn looks at Aolu, startled
Varadrion looks puzzled by the quick expression
Shandor leads the group a few steps away from him, 'Please give him some room.'
Vaedron is startled by Aolu
Kamrock looks blankly, obviously taken aback by a Halfling that says 'no'.
Aerlyka turns and stares at Aolu
Shandor whispers to the group, 'The death of his brother must have hit him more than I thought.'
Dytalorien says dryly, "Obviously."
Shandor thanks Aerlyka and takes the ale.
Vaedron whispers to Varadrion, "Geez this halfling is strange."
Aerlyka whispers to Shandor, "I don't mean to be paranoid, but do you have any magic that can sense an illusion?
Varadrion whispers back "Agreed, and it makes me uneasy"
Shandor steps towards Aolu slowly.
Jenn hisses at Varadrion and Vaedron, "Show some pity, he lost his brother."
Kamrock says, 'Hmm, not to mind, I have some in one these pockets.'
Shandor begs, 'Old friend, please, tell us what is going on.'
Aerlyka watches Shandor silently, wringing her hands
Vaedron whispers back to Varadrion, "I think something more is wrong and just his brother."
Aerlyka edges backwards, looking for a place to hide.
Dytalorien listens to ongoing conversation, intently.
Tasselhof comes out of the restroom
Varadrion stares at Jenn "He was lucky if that’s all he’s lost, don't lecture me on losing people"
[Narrator] Aolu stops what he was doing.
Kamrock pulls out a small leather pouch, and pours a little into his pipe. He then lights it and starts to puff lightly.
Varadrion looks back to Vaedron and mutters "Agreed"
Vaedron turns his attention back to Aolu.
[Narrator] Aolu suddenly blurts out 'Ah yes, of course… thing is, last time we met you sealed a group of orcs in a cave, although you weren't with this lot.'
Shandor nods slowly.
Shandor nods, 'No, these are different people.' He turns to them, 'The orcs were attacking the village, we helped by using magic to seal them in a cave.'
Isondil walks back inside and retakes his seat beside Varadrion
Vaedron listens with interest.
Varadrion greets Isondil again
Shandor says, 'Please continue.'
Kamrock nods at Shandor, 'A hero already…?'
Vaedron scratches his head.
[Narrator] The Halfling, Aolu, nods, 'But something terrible happened, a Troll Shaman stumbled across them, he released them and now the orcs serve him. And he ' Aolu gulps 'like's Halfling meat.'
Dytalorien blinks.
Isondil smiles and sits down and whispers "who was shouting?
Galadmir steps through the doorway "This is the evil the order has spoken of then..."
Jenn coughs, choking on her tea
Aerlyka bites her lip
Vaedron mutters, "So that’s what’s wrong....."
Shandor stops and thinks for a moment, 'Any more?'
Varadrion looks angry and mutters "Orcs"
[Narrator] The Halfling pales, but continues, 'Now, this Troll is not the smartest Troll in the cave, the orcs are probably smarter, but their numbers are so large, you could not kill all of them.'
Aerlyka finds a cloth and busies herself cleaning the counter, but listens
Dytalorien chuckles and smirks, "We could always try.."
Varadrion growls "I would gladly try"
Kamrock grumbles, 'Trolls, I hate trolls.'
Jenn says suddenly, "How many are there?"
Vaedron looks at Aolu uneasy.
[Narrator] Aolu mutters, barely a whisper, 'They are coming to kill us!'
Galadmir says "What do you propose then good halfling?"
Aerlyka wonders why they haven't just moved away, but doesn't say anything
Shandor stands still for a moment, 'Perhaps we can trick them, use our minds instead of brawn.'
Tasselhof says " Trolls are not fun!"
Dytalorien grins ominously, "You could always bury our carcasses if we fail."
Vaedron sighs and says to himself, "Great I knew we shouldn't have come here."
Shandor barks at Vaedron, 'Silence, if you don't like it, you can leave.'
Galadmir says "Leave you could, but this evil will not stop willingly and it would only be a matter of time until it spreads growing more powerful
Shandor continues, 'We can't fight them openly.'
Jenn grins uneasily at Dytalorien's remark
Varadrion walks towards a window and stares out.. a dagger in his hand
Tasselhof says "I could steal from them."
Aerlyka looks around at the others, paling. "We could just leave..."
Isondil looks at Aolu and wonders to himself
Vaedron gets up from his chair and paces around the room with his staff.
Varadrion stares at Shandor
Shandor snaps his fingers, 'I've got it!'
Shandor nods, 'As I recall there is a large rocky valley east of here.'
Tasselhof says "What are we going to do?"
Aerlyka bites her lip again and looks at Shandor
[Narrator] Aolu nods.
Shandor smiles slightly, 'As I recall it's rather a dead end.'
[Narrator] Again Aolu nods.
Isondil looks at Shandor
Dytalorien grins at the pun.
Tasselhof says "so we trap them?"
Vaedron grumbles, "We shouldn't stay here we should leave here now."
Shandor turns to Varadrion, 'THEN LEAVE.'
Shandor says, 'Perhaps we could cause a rockslide? Trap or kill them all.'
[Narrator] Aolu piped up, 'But how? How do we get them there?'
Tasselhof says "We can't leave. "
Varadrion chuckles "Live bait possibly"
Dytalorien muses, "Shandor could act as bait.."
Aerlyka works even harder at cleaning, knowing how to get them there but not about to suggest it
Tasselhof says "I could!"
Shandor rolls his eyes, 'Something better Dytalorien.'
Tasselhof says "I can climb anything!
Jenn winks to Dytalorien, "Or perhaps you can act as bait."
Dytalorien chuckles, "Just a thought..."
Vaedron glares back at Shandor and says, "We can't destroy and army of orcs."
Tasselhof says "I will act as live bait!"
Shandor slumps slightly, 'Any ideas?' He asks the group. He quickly adds, 'Good and serious ideas.'
Varadrion says "I can outrun any troll, I will do it if I have to"
Aerlyka looks at Tas, her eyes widening
Jenn looks down at her teacup
Shandor shouts at Vaedron, 'We can if we try, if you are unwilling, run back to somewhere safe.'
Shandor says, 'No Tas, we couldn't ask that of you.'
Tasselhof says "No one ever listens to the halfling."
Varadrion smiles at Tas and says "climbing will only get you so far, let me run friend"
Shandor states, 'I brought us here, I'll be bait.'
Tasselhof says " But I can climb the cliff
Vaedron grumbles, "Why do I do these things."
Dytalorien grins, "I could be the bait, I've always managed to irritate anyboDytalorien.."
Varadrion smiles at Dytalorien
Shandor says, 'Hang on! I've got it.'
Galadmir says "Or we can bait them all with something suitably tempting...halfling flesh you say?"
Jenn smiles
Vaedron smirks at Dytalorien
Varadrion says to Shandor "It's too big a chance for you to go, I run as fast as you, and I’m less important"
Galadmir looks at Aerlyka
Aerlyka looks at Galadmir and goes back to cleaning
Shandor says, 'We can use the bait to charge straight down into the dead end, before the orcs get there, they'll get killed by rocks.'
Shandor adds, 'Since this is even more dangerous, I'll be bait.'
Tasselhof shouts "I CAN RUN FASTER!!"
Shandor snaps, 'I am BEING bait, end of discussion.'
Dytalorien chuckles, "As you will, we won't let you die."
Varadrion turns to Shandor "Don't be stupid, we need you, you're not being bait"
Shandor adds, 'I am leading this fine group.'
Jenn looks at Aolu, "Do you know when they'll be here?"
Vaedron says, "I have no problem with Shandor being the bait right now."
Jenn glares at Vaedron
Tasselhof says " Then I will go with Shandor"
Vaedron chuckles to himself.
Shandor says, 'Therefore I shall risk my life first.'
Galadmir looks at Shandor "Exactly why the group cannot afford to lose you"
Varadrion says again "No Shandor, its too dangerous, and like you said, you are leader"
Galadmir says "I will gladly act as bait, t’was time I stood a test of bravery"
Dytalorien rolls his eyes, "If you're all willing to sacrifice yourself, you can all be bait..."
Vaedron fills his flask from the remaining ale in his glass.
Aerlyka quietly polishes the same spot she's been cleaning for some time now
Shandor looks at the short halfling, 'Tas, you are very brave and noble, and somehow I don't think I can stop you, so you and me will face down the faces of the orcs, together.'
Varadrion says "I run as fast as you, and there is no-one to miss me if I am caught"
Tasselhof says "Trolls love halfling meat"
Kamrock looks at Shandor, 'I'd rather I lost my life, than you leave this rabble without a lead.'
Jenn says, "We can use Aolu as bait, then somehow carry him up to safety when the orcs are there..."
Jenn mutters, "Just an idea."
Shandor says, 'I cannot ask anyone to risk their life, nor will I.'
Tasselhof says "Just stay Shandor. We can't afford to lose you"
Vaedron says to Jenn, "What should be do tie a string to him and just pull him along?"
[Narrator] Aolu looks white.
Tasselhof says "I will make it out alive"
Jenn makes a face at Vaedron, "Do you have any better ideas?"
Shandor says, 'Leave Aolu alone.'
Varadrion says to Shandor "then do not ask, but you will not do this, you are too important"
Galadmir chuckles and says "Seems we're choosing a frontal assault at this rate"
Vaedron mutters to himself quietly.
Shandor says, 'I am merely an elf, no more important than any other creature.'
Aerlyka scowls at Jenn
Varadrion says "but there are those who would miss you, which is not so for me"
Shandor adds, 'I will tell Dytalorien everything he needs to lead you to the Gifts if the worst should happen.'
Tasselhof says "But you are the wisest of the group"
Kamrock growls, 'While you lead this group, you are more important to me than I am.'
Dytalorien rolls his eyes, "I have a bad sense of direction."
Shandor barks, 'ENOUGH.'
Jenn stands up, "If it comes to be, I'm not following Dytalorien."
Shandor shouts, 'Everyone sit DOWN.'
Vaedron says, "As much as I would like to see Shandor torn to pieces right now we can not let him be the bait. He is the leader of our group."
Varadrion remains standing
Galadmir continues standing
Shandor adds, 'AND SHUT UP!' He adds quickly, 'Please.'
Dytalorien chuckles at Jenn, "Thanks for the vote of confidence."
Jenn sits down ignoring Dytalorien
Kamrock bounces onto the bar, and puffs on his pipe.
Shandor says, 'Okay, I WILL act as bait, it seems Tas will come too, no matter what I say...'
Dytalorien chuckles and withdraws his silver flute, listening.
Aerlyka watches Tas, wondering why he's so willing...
Shandor says, 'So the two of us shall face the Orcs, and you will prepare the rockslide.'
Varadrion says "And what of all those who protest your doing this?"
Jenn stands up again, "Shandor, no!"
Shandor says, 'And if I hear another word about me being 'leader' I'll run right out their now and do it myself.'
Vaedron says, "I guess I can help with the rockslide. One good spell should do it."
Tasselhof says "I can climb any cliff"
Varadrion says flatly "Shandor, you are too important, like it or not, you can't go"
Dytalorien growls in frustration, "It is and will be this way, might as well listen and do it correctly."
Kamrock sighs.
Shandor says, 'I can and will Varadrion, there are others versed in the scrolls, if I do die, seek out Faelnon in the A'lure woods.'
Tasselhof says "This'll be fun! Trolls are so stupid..."
Aerlyka being new to the group, wonders why they all consider that elf so very important
Jenn throws her hands up, "I'd rather run instead! I bet I run faster than the lot of you anyway."
Isondil sighs and relights his pipe
Shandor sighs, 'Everyone.'
Varadrion says to Shandor "I move as fast as you, and I am not nearly as important, I will not be missed, do not take a stupid risk"
Vaedron says to Varadrion, "There is no stopping him, lets just do what we can to make sure he doesn't get himself killed.
Tasselhof insists "I run the fastest"
Jenn glares at Shandor, "I don't want you dead."
Shandor continues, 'I am running, so, too is Tas it seems. There is no stopping me.'
Shandor says, 'You might as well cooperate.'
Galadmir looks at Aerlyka "The leader is always important, without him or her the long term objectives cannot be properly broken down into achievable tasks"
Kamrock says to Shandor, 'Go and do what you must, I shall assist you as far as I can'
Shandor says, 'Finally.... Now, here's what we do.'
Varadrion curses loudly in elven and turns away"
Kamrock looks at the group, 'Pickaxes.'
Aerlyka looks at Galadmir dubiously, but doesn't argue.
Dytalorien twirls his flute absently whilst listening.
Shandor begins, 'First, everyone will line the sides of the valley tomorrow at dawn.
Shandor continues, 'Those who cannot use magic to create the rockslide, try as best you can to make the rocks loose, so they could slide at the right moment.'
Vaedron nods
Shandor continues, 'Myself and little Tas here will go to the Orc camp.'
Jenn nods slowly
Kamrock ties his axe to his belt.
Varadrion curses again
Aerlyka looks doubtful
Shandor says, 'There we shall lure them away to the valley.'
Shandor finishes, 'And that's about it...'
Shandor says, 'So get some rest, tomorrow we slay an army.'
Vaedron sighs and nods again.
Jenn mutters sarcastically, "Seems easy enough."
Tasselhof hands Kamrock his short sword and says "Keep this safe for me?"
Galadmir says "Shandor, How do you intend to lure the entire army into the valley?"
Varadrion mutters in a foreign language something about a "stubborn fool"
Kamrock grumbles, 'I shall, it is well protected.'
Aerlyka looks at Varadrion, somewhat subdued, "Heroes are often made by accident."
Varadrion looks at Shandor "But it is not always that simple"
Isondil takes out his bow and begins adjusting the string
Jenn sighs in frustration and goes into a room
Shandor says to Galadmir smirking, 'If it doesn't work at least I won't hear you telling me 'I told you so.'
Varadrion turns back to Aerlyka "Made by accident, but what they do is not"
Vaedron says to Aolu, "Can you point me to my room, I will need my strength tommorow."
[Narrator] Aolu points upstairs, 'Any one of those.'
Aerlyka shrugs slightly to Varadrion and nods, acquiescing.
Tasselhof starts throwing his knives at a dart board
Galadmir says "I don’t think you take this seriously, if you fail tomorrow all here are doomed think carefully before you act to rashly"
Shandor tries to herd the group out of the bar area, 'Come along, get to sleep.'
Vaedron nods and walks up the stairs and enters a random room and shuts the door.
Varadrion says "and at any rate, more die trying to be heroes than achieve the goal"
Aerlyka continues cleaning up for Aolu, thinking he deserves the help, but can't help wondering if the tavern will still be standing by tomorrow night.
Shandor says, 'I always act rashly, and behold! I'm still alive, the Orcs held me once and didn't manage to kill me, or anyone else, I doubt they can do better this time.'
Isondil finishes tightening his bow string and goes upstairs
Tasselhof collects his knives
Varadrion throws a dagger at the dartboard, and hits it dead centre
Shandor tries to herd the group upstairs again.
Tasselhof says "Good shot!"
Shandor says, 'Come along!'
Galadmir says "Shador, consider the innocent lives your brash actions may take...I will not allow this village to come to harm"
Varadrion smiles at Tas "Thank you"
Aerlyka glances at the dartboard, then at Varadrion, then back to the cleaning.
Shandor whips the darts off the board by magic.
Shandor adds, 'That includes you.'
Tasselhof heads upstairs
Shandor growls, very seriously, 'I will not let this village be harmed.'
Varadrion says "and who do you mean by 'you'"?
Shandor smirks, 'You, and you, and you, heck, all of you, to bed, NOW.'
Vaedron yells from his room, "Go to your rooms I can't get any sleep!"
Varadrion laughs but turns serious "I sleep during the day, and i did today, i have things i must attend to regarding my weapons and such, go ahead"
Aerlyka glares at Shandor, irritated that he is ordering her around like a child. She looks away quickly, but says softly, "I'm too nervous to sleep right yet."
Shandor sighs, 'Fine, but do not sleep tomorrow.'
Varadrion looks at Shandor "Obviously"
Shandor says gently, 'Don't worry Aerlyka, everything will be fine.'
Jenn pokes her head out of her room, "Everyone, GOOD NIGHT!"
Jenn slams her door
Aerlyka nods silently, but avoids looking at Shandor
Shandor sighs.
Kamrock can still be heard snoring.
Shandor turns to Aolu, and bids goodnight.
Varadrion looks at Aerlyka and says "Don't worry, they'll be fine, if any get close I have ways of stopping them"
Tasselhof opens and slams his door, imitating Jenn
Shandor climbs up the stairs.
Aerlyka looks at Varadrion, slightly startled, but nods. "That's good." She smiles faintly.
Galadmir sighs and sitting in the corner begins his prayers
Shandor collapses into bed. However, he cannot get to sleep.
Jenn stares at her ceiling, and tries to go to sleep
Kamrock is still snoring, and can be heard all over the Tavern.
Aerlyka fusses around for awhile, finally throwing the cloth into a corner. She heads upstairs and goes to bed. She dreams about standing at the top of the cliff throwing pebbles at the orcs while they eat Shandor and Tas
Varadrion quietly practices a form of martial arts in the bar room
Jenn screams silently inside, goes into Kamrock's room and stuff his mouth with a pillow
Isondil sits on his bed and takes out his quiver of arrows and begins straightening all of the arrow heads
[Narrator] It is dawn too quickly for the group.
Galadmir glares harshly at Varadrion
Kamrock is already up and sharpening pickaxes.
Tasselhof jumps out of bed and runs downstairs
Dytalorien rubs his eyes, dispelling himself of the last tendrils of sleep.
Shandor goes downstairs.
Varadrion is standing silently in the bar, looking forward, eyes closed
Shandor is still fully dressed, and does not look like he had got a moments sleep.
Vaedron stretches his stiff limbs and tries to remember what happened the night before.
Jenn wakes up, massaging her neck
Tasselhof says "Lets go!"
Isondil walks back inside to the tavern after checking his horse
Galadmir is nowhere to be seen but a note has been left on the table
Kamrock says, 'Morning Shandor, nice sleep?'
Vaedron grumbles when he remembers what they are doing that day.
Jenn walks downstairs
Shandor begins humming an elven tune, he says it's a tune of good luck.
Vaedron gathers his things and walks downstairs.
Dytalorien stretches and scratches his head, "Everyone in good shape?"
Varadrion smiles at Vaedron "I know how you feel friend"
Isondil nods at Vaedron with a doubtful look on his face
Jenn winks at Vaedron, "Can't be worse than sleeping through Kamrock's snoring."
Shandor yawns loudly, 'I think I am ready. No, I know I am ready.'
Vaedron says, "Well I hoped everyone slept good, you will need it."
Varadrion remains standing there eyes closed "and looks to be talking, though no sound is made"
Kamrock smiles at the group, 'I would like everyone who can to grab a weapon. Hack at the Valley side with them.'
Shandor rolls his eyes, 'Yes, I slept perfectly...'
Tasselhof walks around impatiently
Vaedron pulls out his flask and takes a sip from it, "This should wake me up."
Kamrock smiles at Shandor, 'Good, Good.'
Shandor says, 'Okay, we are burning daylight, let's move!'
Dytalorien absently wraps his cloak tightly about himself and grins, "Let's eat up, might be our last meal."
Shandor goes outside and leaps onto his horse.
Vaedron nods to Shandor in agreement.
Shandor says, 'Food can wait until we win.'
Jenn grins wryly and walks outside,
Varadrion pulls his cloak over his face and walks out, and mounts his horse
Tasselhof hops onto Shandor horse
Dytalorien raises an eyebrow, "No breakfast? We get to die starving?"
Vaedron follows after Shandor and climbs onto his own horse.
Shandor smiles at his determination.
Galadmir returns looking quite flustered
Isondil nods and follows Shandor outside jumping on his horse
Kamrock lays various large weapon on the bar, 'take them' and pats his pickaxe.
Dytalorien sighs and shrugs, "Fine, I'll be a hungry, angry ghost."
Vaedron says, "Don't get to over confident Shandor."
Jenn looks at Dytalorien and stifles a laugh
Vaedron says, "This is no little task we are about to do."
Galadmir says "Food may be a moot point, they don’t seem to be staying put for long"
Galadmir says "and there’s an awful lot of them"
Shandor looks at Vaedron then turns away mutters, 'Confident? Pah, the 'troops' need it..'
Varadrion looks at Shandor "Troops?"
Dytalorien waves his hand dismissively, "Let's go then, forget I mentioned it."
Kamrock leaves the Tavern and starts to lighten his Horse.
Jenn mock salutes Shandor, "Yes sir, Shandor sir..."
Shandor trots on, ignoring the others.
Vaedron checks to make sure all his items are secure.
Shandor smiles a half smile at Jenn's attempt to cheer the group up.
Dytalorien bounds upon a horse and follows along at a graceful canter.
Galadmir says "If we are to attempt this then more planning should be taken"
Isondil smiles at Jenn before trotting behind Shandor
Vaedron places his dagger in his boot and says, "I may need this."
Kamrock quickly mounts and rides out.
Jenn walks near Vaedron, "So I spose we're using magic?"
Shandor looks at Galadmir, 'Do you wish to plan until the orcs are breath down your throat?'
Galadmir says "Can you remember the layout of the valley, I feel we may need to herd them toward you"
Vaedron nods to Jenn and say, "Yeah looks like we are making the rockslide."
Varadrion says "Lucky me, i get to stand and watch"
[Narrator] The group trot to the edge of the valley.
Vaedron says to Jenn, "I really should have taught you some of my spells."
Isondil nudges his horse forward to ride alongside Shandor
Galadmir says "Over planning is procrastination, you have decided to cause a land slide on the expectancy they will all follow you"
Shandor sighs loudly,
Jenn nods
Vaedron sighs and looks over the valley nervously.
Shandor says, 'Okay, split up.'
Kamrock is already here, breaking up rock and lining the edge with them.
Jenn says, "But I think I can do well enough job with my spells."
Dytalorien flexes his arms and grins, "Wonder if my puny muscles'll manage to move any rocks.."
Shandor says, 'Some go to one side, the others to the other.'
Tasselhof hops off of Shandor’s horse and starts walking beside him
Shandor looks at Tas, 'Are you ready?'
Galadmir says "I would suggest the mage causes the land slide while the rest of the party cuts off the escape route"
Tasselhof says "yup!"
Dytalorien shrugs and moves to the left.
Shandor sighs, 'Okay, get to work.'
Varadrion stands at the side of the valley and drops his cloak revealing a blowpipe, what looks like darts, ten deep red daggers and a few black vials
Shandor drags Tas away from the valley
Vaedron nods to Shandor and says, "Good luck."
Isondil says ' leads his horse up the gentler slope on the left and shouts 'good luck shandor!'
Kamrock growls at Galadmir, 'I'm helping cause falling rocks.'
Vaedron rides off.
Shandor nods, 'Thank you. May the Spirits bless us all.'
Galadmir says "May the light protect you"
Jenn follows after Vaedron
Dytalorien cringes at Isondil, "Not so loud."
Aerlyka searches around for a stout limb that she can use as a lever to move bigger rocks
Shandor says, 'We must abandon the horses, they are terrified by orcs.'
Shandor let's his horse trot off.
Varadrion closes his eyes and moves his mouth without sound
Galadmir says you’d be surprised what my charger will attack
Vaedron gazes around at the rocks.
Shandor begins walking away from the valley.
Kamrock stands on slight lip of rock
Dytalorien taps his saber, musing on it's sturdiness.
Jenn jogs alongside Vaedron, "We don't have to go up too far."
Shandor says, 'Come along little one.'
Vaedron mutters, "Shouldn’t be to hard to move."
Tasselhof follows Shandor
Jenn nods
Isondil ignores Dytalorien and dismounts his horse and whispers to it and it gallops away south
Shandor leads Tas for a mile or so.
Galadmir gestures for the remainder of the group to follow him
Vaedron spots a good place to cast his spell and walks over there.
Aerlyka looks at Vaedron and snorts softly to herself, testing a branch she found
Shandor sniffs the air, 'The smell of Orcs is very... nauseating.'
Kamrock pushes some heavy rocks and a few smaller ones onto the lip, 'Break here when Elf comes running.'
Tasselhof readies his throwing knives
Varadrion throws a dagger with paper on it towards Vaedron, on the paper is writtern "how good is your aim with a fireball"
Galadmir says "Don’t suppose any of you have a good plan for herding some six hundred orcs?"
Jenn walks around, opposite of where Vaedron is, and looks down
Shandor spots the orcs, hundreds of them in a large field.
Isondil takes out his bow and walks after Vaedron
Shandor says to Tas, 'Okay, this is it.'
Vaedron pulls out his flask and takes several sips from it.
Kamrock says, 'Axes, Throwing Axes.'
Shandor says, 'Follow my lead.'
Jenn looks up suddenly, "Wait, after he lures them in, how is he getting out?"
Aerlyka whimpers softly in frustration as the branch simply snaps off beneath the big rock
Vaedron holds his flask out and offers it to Isondil.
Dytalorien furrows his brow, concentrating on the scene below.
Tasselhof is right behind Shandor
Shandor looks at Tas, waiting for an answer that wouldn't come.
Kamrock starts to hack at the lip, weakening it.
Shandor sighs again and stands up fully.
Isondil gladly accepts and takes a sip from the flask before returning it
Tasselhof says "Ready."
Aerlyka looks at Kamrock. "Be careful not too much or it will fall too soon."
Vaedron says quietly, "I am ready."
Varadrion stands calmly, looking into the valley
Kamrock lights his pipe and puffs.
Shandor bellows as loudly as he can, 'Here's Orcs! Remember me? The Guy that outwitted you, trapped you, killed a lot of you, mocked you and oh yeah, thwarted you.'
Galadmir rides to the other end of the valley (hoping the others will follow him not try and tip pebbles)
Isondil takes out an arrow and fits it into his bow
[Narrator] The Orcs look up at the elf. They recognise him.
Vaedron grips his staff in his right hand.
Shandor says, 'Okay, now we run.'
Dytalorien grins at Shandor's choice of words.
Jenn murmurs softly and stroke her necklace
Tasselhof darts off behind Shandor
Varadrion pulls a dagger from his belt and watches Shandor
Kamrock takes his pick. in both hands
Aerlyka looks around feeling completely useless.
[Narrator] The Orcs cry a warriors vengeance cry and get to their feet, they charge towards them as the earth shakes. The troll is left wondering what is going on.
Galadmir dismounts in position and kneels
Shandor sprints as fast as he can.
Galadmir begins praying
Tasselhof runs
Shandor pants, 'No harm in doing more mocking....'
Isondil looks down at Shandor and waits for the orcs to appear
Dytalorien furrows his brows in concentration, following the duo's movements.
Vaedron says a short prayer then begins to chant in elven.
Varadrion gets an idea and run off down the side.. away from the group but not towards the orcs
Kamrock winds up for a massive swing.
Tasselhof sticks out his tongue at the Orcs
Shandor calls backwards, 'Here Orcies Orcies Orcies, betcha can't catch me!'
Galadmir begins to glow faintly with a holy light
Jenn looks straight down and mutters in a strange language
Aerlyka finds another limb, stronger than the first, and wedges it beneath some rocks.
Tasselhof shouts "Wheeeeee!"
Vaedron 's to chant louder and louder
Shandor is sprinting as fast as he can, however the orcs are gaining on the two.
Varadrion shouts to Shandor "keep them busy, and keep them chasing you"
Dytalorien plunges his saber beneath a large rock, in preparation.
Varadrion turns and hits the lead orc with a dagger in the knee, tripping him up
Isondil lets an arrow fly from his bow striking the closest orc to Shandor in the head
Tasselhof throws two knives behind him
Shandor grabbed Tas' hand, 'Hang on.'
Galadmir chants louder and his blade trembles
Shandor chants something and the two can run faster than ever before.
Varadrion runs off, slipping in behind the orcs and running off to where the camp was
Shandor grins and yells a cheer.
Tasselhof says "I can't climb with you hanging on to me"
Aerlyka begins pushing on the limb, trying to get the rocks ready to slide...
Shandor says, 'You wanted that kick start though, lets GO!!'
Vaedron raises his arms and chants even louder. The sky begins to turn grey and clouds start to appear.
Shandor nearly flies towards the valley.
Dytalorien grunts and waits for the most opportune moment.
Isondil fits another arrow into his bow and lets it fly hitting another orc but not felling it
Shandor sprints into the valley
Vaedron chants in elven louder and louder
Shandor says, 'This is it.'
Tasselhof runs right beside him
Galadmir sights the troll
Varadrion runs towards the camp, and see the troll
Shandor chants something and his voice fills the mind of all of the group, 'NOW!'
Jenn shouts in an unnatural guttural language,
Shandor is running too fast
Kamrock snaps striking the crack, and a very large number of rocks fall.
Dytalorien tries to lever a large rock with his saber, but the blade bends pliant under the heavy pressure.
Vaedron begins to scream his chants. Lightning bolts shoot from the sky and hit the rocks.
Dytalorien mumbles and curses.
Galadmir leaps onto his charger and jabbing his heels in deep blade held aloft charges full tilt toward the monster
Dytalorien grunts and slams himself against the large rock, managing to dislodge it, sending it downwards.
Varadrion eyes the troll as it sees him, and they begin to circle each other
Aerlyka pushes as hard as she can on the limb, but isn't heavy enough to move it.
Vaedron continues to yell in elven and more lightning begins to hit the rocks sending them down onto the orcs.
Shandor tries gripping into the cliff.
Tasselhof darts to the cliff face and starts rapidly climbing
Isondil continues firing arrows at the orcs until they are all spent and then takes out a smal red orb
Kamrock starts throwing axes at the Orcs.
Shandor climbs a bit up.
Jenn gets caught up with Vaedron's actions and she too, yells her spells, causing rocks to tumble down even stronger
Aerlyka bounces on the limb and cursing in very unhalfling like anger
Vaedron continues on with his spell.
Varadrion draws his long sword as the troll begins chanting
[Narrator] The Valley rocks as a giant rockslide begins.
Tasselhof reaches down and hauls Shandor up to a ledge
Galadmir rides toward the troll picking up speed and continuing his chant the blade starts to glow
[Narrator] Rocks fly down into the valley
Aerlyka the rocks suddenly move, the limb and Aerlyka falling to the ground as the rocks slide down the hill
Vaedron shakes his arms in the air signalling for more lightning.
[Narrator] The Orcs scream in pain and confusion
Jenn screams her spells into the wind
Aerlyka looks up, turning pale at the cries of pain
Tasselhof keeps helping Shandor climb higher
Dytalorien grits his teeth.
Shandor looks down at the mayhem with a sadistic smirk.
Shandor climbs up.
Varadrion sees Galadmir and runs toward the troll, his sword digging into its big wooden club
Vaedron begins to come shaky on his feet and is almost ready to collapse
Tasselhof climbs up
Kamrock takes his axe from his belt, and cheers loudly, 'Nothing like Orc Slaughter in the morning.'
Shandor pants, finally reaching the top.
Vaedron continues to yell but eventually collapses.
Galadmir 's chant reaches a crescendo and with a mighty swing the blade impacts on the trolls shoulder cleaving off an arm
Varadrion begins fighting the troll, an unseen force pushing his blows away
Dytalorien shouts loudly, "Did we get them all?"
Aerlyka looks at Kamrock, looking upset, then runs off towards the halfling village
Shandor turns round and gives an animalistic holler of victory.
Isondil chants something in elven and the orb spins and flies into the cliff opposite him and starts another rockslide before returning to him
Shandor turns to Tas, 'Good work, Tas.'
Varadrion drives his sword into the trolls chest, and draws a dagger
Vaedron tries to lift himself up off the ground but falls down again.
Jenn slows down, eyes glazing as she sends bars of white light down to crumble the walls of the valley... just to be safe
Kamrock grins, 'Reminds of the Battle of Ensgrab.'
Varadrion looks at the arm and says "oh no you don't" and drives the dagger into his head
Tasselhof says to Shandor "What would you do without me?"
Vaedron uses his staff as a crutch to stand.
Shandor smirks, 'I'd smile at the destruction a lot more.'
Isondil catches the orb before falling in pain as his hands burn
Aerlyka hides behind a tree halfway back towards the village and sits down, crying
Vaedron grumbles to himself, "I think that did it."
Galadmir cancels his previous action and takes another mighty swing cleaving the second arm off
Varadrion looks down at the troll, and spits off to the side
Shandor notices he is drenched with orc blood.
Shandor nearly gags at the smell.
Rue rides towards the group on her horse, stopping and quietly staring at them.
Tasselhof sits beside Aerlyka and says "What’s wrong?"
Shandor pants loudly.
Dytalorien spots Rue and waves nonchalantly.
Varadrion removes his sword from his chest and the dagger from the troll's head, and walks away
Jenn sees Rue and smiles weakly
Shandor spots Rue vaguely, he waves a hello.
Kamrock looks down at the rock pile, 'You know they dead!'
Aerlyka looks up at Tas, startled, standing up and wiping at her eyes. "I.. I never.. I don't like killing."
Isondil gets up slowly and replaces the orb in his cloak
Vaedron hobbles over to Shandor and says, "Well done."
Dytalorien sniffs the air, it reeks of orcish blood.
Shandor is suddenly beside Aerlyka, 'No-one does, but sometime it is needed to save innocent people.'
Varadrion walks up to aerlyka and says "sometimes you have to, try not to worry about it too much"
Galadmir sheaths his sword as the light fades
Jenn grimaces, "Is that all of them?"
Rue nudges her horse, and it gallops forward to them. She smiles at everyone as she dismounts. "Strange coincidences are adrift in the Tildruin air." She smiles.
Shandor sighs, 'Thanks.'
Aerlyka nods silently.
Vaedron tries to catch his breath.
Varadrion pats Shandor on the shoulder "well done"
Dytalorien smiles half-heartedly to Rue, "You could say that."
Kamrock kicks a small pebble down onto the pile, for a dramatic affect, only no one was watching.
Shandor coughs, 'Let's go to the tavern and for the Spirits sake let me out of these bloodied cloths.'
Vaedron nods to Shandor in agreement.
Shandor says to Varadrion , 'Thanks.'
Tasselhof sings "Rum, rum!"
Dytalorien rolls his eyes, "Well you're the one who wanted to be bait, so quit complaining."
Isondil walks slowly over to Vaedron and says ' well done'
Vaedron says, "Thanks."
Varadrion sheathes the dagger, still covered in blood
Jenn looks at Rue, then smiles, "Always comforting to see you, Rue."
Aerlyka does her best to stop being pitiful and joins the group in going back to the village.
Rue crosses her arms, examining the group.
Vaedron pulls out his flask and takes a sip before following after the group to the tavern.
Shandor walks slowly towards the tavern, rubbing his back.
Rue smiles. "Thank you."
Kamrock sighs, 'I could do with a large breakfast and an ale after that, oh and I'm out of weed.'
Rue brushes her hair behind her shoulder nonchalantly.
Galadmir smiles at Varadrion "That was a fair number of well aimed blows, where did you learn to fight like that?"
Dytalorien flips his saber and sheathes it, heading toward the tavern.
Varadrion still looks uneasy, even though the battle is finished
Shandor begins singing another elven tune.
Kamrock remounts and rides back to the Tavern
Aerlyka smiles faintly at Varadrion. "You don't like killing either, do you?" she asks softly.
Rue remounts her horse, and rides to the tavern as well.
Vaedron chuckles and says, "I'm glad i got a good nights sleep."
Shandor slumps into the tavern.
[Narrator] Aolu looks at the bloodied elf, 'You did it?'
Shandor nods, collapsing onto a barstool
Dytalorien walks into the tavern, both hands behind his head, "Yeah, so to speak."
Vaedron hobbles into the tavern and collapses into a chair.
Isondil walks into the tavern and walks over to a corner
Tasselhof looks sulky
Kamrock smiles, 'There's nothing to it after seeing as much death as I have, and lost as much as I have.'
Varadrion looks softly at Aerlyka and says "its not the killing.. i don't know that it is, I do what I must"
Jenn grins at Aolu, "Did you ever doubt us?"
[Narrator] Aolu claps his hands together shouting praise to everyone, 'Blessed day, blessed day!'
Dytalorien grunts, "Now where's my breakfast?!"
[Narrator] Aolu says, 'A simple breakfast, no! We will have a feast!'
Varadrion looks at Aerlyka and says "Inner demons"
Jenn grins at Dytalorien, "Of course, food."
Vaedron sighs and says to Aolu, "Could I have and ale?"
Aerlyka nods. "It's not the death... it's the dying. The screaming..." Her voice trails off as she turns pale.
Galadmir says "Seems all to easy..."
Shandor says, 'Thank you, but a simple breakfast would be great.'
Isondil takes out another phial and drinks it in one long gulp
Kamrock yells, 'There's a pocket of gold for the first to bring me a Roast Goat and a Pitcher of Ale.'
Dytalorien grins at Aolu's words, "If you say so, a feast!"
[Narrator] Aolu smiled, 'Okay..'
Vaedron looks at Shandor and says, "I want my feast!"
Dytalorien sighs resignedly.
Tasselhof says "Shandor, your ring, er, slipped off you finger" hands the ring back with a smile
Aerlyka hurries off to help Aolu, not wanting to think about it anymore
Varadrion looks at Aerlyka again and says "I am an assassin, and in killing, i become more and more like those i try to destroy"
Shandor resigns, 'Okay, a feast, it just means you'll have to be stuck next to me and Tasselhof wreeking of blood.
Rue stares sleepily at the group.
Vaedron mutters, "Go get yourself cleaned up."
Jenn pokes Dytalorien and Vaedron, "Don';t eat the poor halfing out of house and home."
Shandor smirks and gives the ring back, 'You can take it, it is just a simple ring, but it should fetch a pretty penny.'
Vaedron ignores Jenn.
Dytalorien mumbles, "You talk as if I'm a corpulent hog..."
Aerlyka looks at Varadrion, curious in an odd sort of way, but continues on to help Aolu.
Jenn winks at Dytalorien,
Kamrock drops a heavy bag of gold on the bar, 'For the inconvenience we caused.'
[Narrator] Aolu claps his hands together, 'Excellent, I will go gather together all of the town chefs!'
Varadrion sits away from the table, staring at the happiness of the others
Tasselhof says to Shandor "Thanks! It took a bit of work to 'slip'"
Shandor smirks.
Vaedron looks at Aolu with excitement about what he just said.
[Narrator] Aolu dashes outside.
Isondil looks around slowly and takes out his pipe with the promise of food on the way smiles to himself
Jenn walks over to Vaedron, "It would be a good idea to teach me some of your spells, you know."
Shandor says, 'Until the feast, I suggest we....' He sniffs the air, 'Get out of these clothes!'
Vaedron says, "Killing an army of orcs is at least worth a feast."
Shandor disappears up to his room.
Varadrion looks at Jenn and smiles, and calls her over
Dytalorien yawns and goes to change.
Galadmir says "Still seems to easy"
Vaedron goes up to his room to change.
Galadmir says "Even orcs aren’t that stupid"
Tasselhof goes to his room and changes
Jenn goes over to Vara
Shandor comes back down in a fine blue tunic and light brown greaves
Varadrion pulls out a book and hands it to her "there are good spells in here... best for their time many years ago, take from it what you like"
Tasselhof comes down dressed in a light tan trench coat, and brown trousers
Isondil walks slowly up to his room to meditate before the feast
Vaedron comes downstairs in some drab but clean cloths and says, "This is all I got."
[Narrator] Aolu calls from outside.
Jenn grins and clutches the book, and murmurs a thanks
Shandor goes outside at Aolu's calling
Varadrion chuckles at everyone changing out of their bloodstained clothes, and looks down at his own blood eovered robe
Kamrock shouts, 'More Ale here,' and opens his mouth.
Tasselhof eavdrops on Shandor
Vaedron flops into a chair and sighs.
[Narrator] Outside the place has been transformed into a giant feast. 'We halflings work fast when it comes to feasts.' Aolu said
Rue helps herself to a roll of bread.
Isondil walks back downstairs into the bar and sits down beside Vaedron
Vaedron nods to Isondil.
Rue quietly nibbles on her bread, watching the festivities.
Shandor looks around the grand feast area, mouth agape.
Jenn sits down and picks up an apple
Vaedron walks over to the feast and sits down
[Narrator] Aolu points to two grand chairs, 'For you and that Tas fellow.
Kamrock takes a goat leg and starts munching on it happily.
Isondil nods back and says ' I hope this feast is good I’m starving'
Shandor nods and sits down on the very comfortable chair.
Vaedron 's mouth begins to water.
Tasselhof busily hurries around filling several plates and two pouches
Varadrion walks up and looks at the feast, but looks uncomfortable
Dytalorien reclines in his chair, sipping his drink.
Shandor gets up again and gathers some great looking food.
Vaedron quickly begins to eat a little bit of everything.
Jenn sits down next to Dytalorien, munching on an apple
Varadrion takes an apple and walks away slowly
Shandor returns to his seat to find a glass of cranberry juice on ice there.
Shandor grins and takes a sip.
Dytalorien glances over at Jenn, and nods nonchalantly.
Isondil walks outside and takes a seat beside Dytalorien before standing up to gather some food
Tasselhof sits in one of the Grand Chairs with his plates
Vaedron eats like he is an animal
Tasselhof steals Kamrock’s ale
Dytalorien looks to his left and right, feeling surrounded and shrugs.
Varadrion nods to Shandor as if to say "good job" and then walks away
Shandor , while starving, controls himself and eats politely.
Shandor looks at Varadrion for a short second, before returning to eating.
Kamrock starts to talk about past battles and ignores his missing drink.
Jenn grins at Vaedron and chucks her apple at him,
Tasselhof has no shame, and eats like a pig
Vaedron sits back in his chair and sips from his ale.
Dytalorien munches elegantly, whilst dodging flying food items.
[Narrator] Aolu stands on one of the tables with a gold goblet.
Rue puts down a half of a piece of bread, and sighs, sipping a goblet of wine.
Tasselhof says to Dytalorien "Sorry!"
Vaedron looks up at Aolu.
[Narrator] Aolu shouts, 'Now, everyone, can we please have a toast to the valiant group that saved our village!'
Kamrock fills a pitcher of Ale and returns to his to seat, listening.
Varadrion walks back up without his robe, and sits down
Dytalorien listens to the halfling.
Tasselhof bows
[Narrator] The place fills with cheers and shouts.
Kamrock toasts, 'Shandor and Tas.'
Shandor stands up and bows.
Isondil takes large bites out of his leg of lamb
Tasselhof bows again
Dytalorien claps excitedly whilst grinning.
[Narrator] 'Shandor and Tas.' is echoed throughout the halflings.
Vaedron lifts his glass in the air.
Jenn smiles broadly and quietly sips her tea
Varadrion takes a small amount of food and begins eating slowly, looking off into space thoughtfully
Isondil claps loudly
Vaedron says, "To Shandor and Tas."
Rue lifts her goblet with a smile, clapping politely.
Dytalorien raises his glass and smiles.
Shandor sits back down and sighs, fatigue dragging him down, but the buzz of being cheered perking him back up.
Varadrion lifts his goblet
Shandor grins a wide grin.
Jenn makes to pick up her tea, frowns slightly, then grabs Dytalorien's glass and raises it
Kamrock stops eating a second, 'Ahh Tas, I have something for you.'
Shandor 's sea-blue eyes seem to sparkle like the ocean.
Vaedron begins to eat again.
Kamrock hands Tasselhof a golden cloth, with his sword inside.
Dytalorien rolls his eyes and stands up, walking about the revellers.
Tasselhof says, "Thanks"
Vaedron mutters quietly while he eats, "What a day this was."
Isondil lifts his goblet slowly and takes a small drink
Shandor nods, 'Indeed.'
Tasselhof takes the sword
Kamrock yells, 'More goat here.'
Tasselhof says "I am retiring for the night" over several empty plates
Varadrion drops a heavy cloth wrapped object beside Shandor
Shandor looks at the cloth.
Shandor touches it gently, 'What's in it?'
Vaedron sits back in his chair and sips his ale.
Varadrion says to him "A memento, remember, to these people you are a hero now, and you should remember it"
Shandor nods and smiles.
Vaedron announces, "I am full."
Rue watches the gift-giving with quiet observance.
Varadrion says "The dagger used to kill the troll, which you made possible, and should not forget"
Shandor nods, 'Thanks.'
Isondil stands up and walks back into the tavern
Varadrion nods to Shandor, and then to Vaedron, and then walks off
Shandor opens the cloth and picks up the dagger, still stained with the blood of the troll.
[Narrator] The Cheer and merriment continues far into the night.
