The 'Quest' II
Chapter III - Rock 'n' Roll
Organiser's Comment
Great fun, sad to see the wagon in a million pieces though... Oh yes I am mad to have 4 IRC's going at the same time, but that isn't going to stop me! Our new method of transportation will be... quite amusing, come to Sunday's session or miss it :P
Oh, by the way, you see all those questions I got asked? See, that is why I didn’t tell folks about the original dragon until the finale… You’ll just tempt Shandor to go evil and kill y’all…
Final thing, longest session ever (taking into account both 'Quest' and 'Quest' II logs).
Plot Summary
The wagon train is heading north in pursuit of the thieves. A lengthy discussion is had as to the origins of the dragon and its Child, as well as the ritual that grants godly powers, coupled with conversations on where the Child is, who took him, and what's for breakfast. After a few hours of travel the group are travelling along the edge of a cliff, that drops down into a lake. More conversation is had as Kalypse watches a group of birds with interest. Shortly, the birds take off, scared Kalypse reports. The ground shakes for a moment as boulders tumble down towards the 'train. Shandor releases the reigns and the horses gallop off as fast as they can. The boulders hit, shoving the 'train off the cliff's edge and sending it hurtling into the waters beneath. Instantly water begins flooding inside, Faelnon, Ariea and Rue are trapped inside the cabins as several others are thrown into the air and fall into the water. The group are desperately rushing to save the trapped group members before they drown. Rue manages to escape as Shandor gives Ariea a method of freedom. Faelnon also manages to escape with the aid of Shandor.
Before they can recover the inhabitants of the lake swim past the group, long, thin eel-like creatures with sharp teeth. The group begin battling them as best they can. Faelnon stabs one in the eye with a quill as Echnaton locks one in a cabin. Ariea reaches her cabin and removes a frightening broadsword, she swings violently, and misses, but the sword cuts into the side of the wagon. She repeats this process several times and with her final stroke, cuts the creature in to and breaks the roof from the rest of the wagon. She, with the aid of Echnaton and Shandor, manages to get it to the surface and tip it over. Shandor removes the water from it and they begin to climb on board. Shandor swims about and collects several pieces of wood suitable for paddles.
Soon, they are paddling away from the wreckage of the wagon train. Their talks go on for several hours before they settle into silence.

<@Narrator> The wagon train is making its way north after learning that was the thieves' path. It is passing though several fields, but rocking ledges and hills can be seen in the distance. The day is bright and cheerful. The sun is beaming gloriously upon the 'train.
øùú Shandor is still looking after the reigns of the horses.
øùú Faelnon yawns, emerging from his wagon.
øùú Rue sits up in bed, rubbing her head. She looks around, realizing that she is back in the wagon.
øùú Tengu walks in the road before the train and waves to stop. Or at least to slow down.
øùú Kalypse is sitting on a chair in the corner, her head leaning against the window, half awake, half asleep
øùú Dytalorien leans against a wall, yawning.
øùú Shandor is tempted to continue at full pace, but slows down.
øùú Varadrion is sitting at the front of cabin looking out at the scenery
øùú Faelnon shuffles towards the front, 'What's going on- Oh, hello Tengu.'
øùú Echnaton climbs to the roof of his wagon and enjoys the fresh air
øùú Faelnon thinks for a moment, 'It is Tengu, isn't it?'
øùú Tengu watches the approaching train and when it finally slows, jumps on the first wagon.
øùú Tengu bows, "It is."
øùú Rue stands and stretches, blinking the sleep from her eyes.
øùú Echnaton rises his hand to greet Tengu
øùú Shandor says, 'I hope you haven't managed to replace your staff yet...'
øùú Varadrion climbs onto the top of his cabin and looks towards the front
øùú Faelnon looks at Tengu without much interest. He is much more interested in fetching some food.
øùú Faelnon begins working his way back through the wagons to get to the food wagon.
øùú Rue exits the cabin and looks around, shielding eyes from the sun with her hand.
øùú Tengu says, "Not yet. Now I have to use bare hands."
øùú Dytalorien twiddles his thumbs as he watches the scenery move past.
øùú Ariea looks about her cabin, she opens Shandor's chest and begins moving through swords, 'He'll never let me use these unless I steal them, yes, that's enough logic for me.' She states to no-one, removing a nice broadsword from the chest.
øùú Tengu says, "Rumours spread fast, there was a kind of a mess in Muthrid. I didn't believe until I heard your descriptions. So what goal do you pursue that time?"
øùú Shandor says, 'An unpleasant one.'
øùú Kalypse opens her eyes finally recognising the day light and goes wash her face
øùú Varadrion walks up to the cabin with Shandor and Tengu in it
øùú Faelnon opens the food wagon and spots a bowl of strawberries, or some kind of berries.
øùú Faelnon scoops a handful out and begins wondering about the 'train nibbling on them.
øùú Tengu says, 'The fruit of wisdom is always bitter, but could you be more specific?'
øùú Kalypse gets back and waves to those she sees 'Hello there'
øùú Shandor says, 'Medium size, scaly, bad mood, breathes fire.'
øùú Varadrion says to Tengu "He wasn't with the rest of us, good luck"
øùú Shandor says, 'And I don't mean Faelnon in the morning...'
øùú Faelnon says, 'Good thing too.' He says reaching the front of the 'train again.
øùú Tengu says, "But is was... Medium size... You mean..."
øùú Varadrion asks Shandor "Medium size compared to what exactly?"
øùú Shandor says, 'It means that it is not big, and it isn't small.'
øùú Rue walks over to where the others are and listens quietly.
øùú Kalypse shouts to see if she can get more ignored.. 'Hello!!!!!!'
øùú Shandor turns to Varadrion, 'Medium sized when compared to something that is... um... bigger than it, and smaller than it.'
øùú Echnaton smiles while he follows Shandor’s explanations
øùú Shandor jumps, 'Ah! - Er, hi Kalypse.'
øùú Tengu turns around to greet Kalypse, hardly retaining balance and not falling down.
øùú Kalypse smiles gladly
øùú Varadrion says "You are large to a mouse, and small to a dragon, but that is not a good explanation either is it?"
øùú Kalypse asks 'How are you all?"
øùú Dytalorien rubs his ears at the sudden noises and goes back to twiddling his thumbs.
øùú Varadrion turns and bows to Kalypse
øùú Echnaton says "good morning Kalypse."
øùú Faelnon says, 'Since we only have one baby dragon, I'd say it can't really be compared, whether it is small for its age, or large, who can tell?'
øùú Varadrion looks at Faelnon in obvious annoyance and says "It is roughly equal in size to...?"
øùú Rue raises an eyebrow. "Dragon...what did I miss?"
øùú Shandor grins at Rue and explains the story.
øùú Kalypse smiles
øùú Tengu listens to the whole story.
øùú Faelnon says, 'It is roughly equal in size to... an object... which is its size.'
øùú Echnaton smiles "we shall see."
øùú Rue nods. "Well..."
øùú Faelnon says, 'It is the size of a big box? I don't know, it was growing quite rapidly when it was stolen.
øùú Rue looks over at Faelnon as he mentions ‘stealing’, "Sorry for stealing your cabin." she smirks.
øùú Faelnon says, 'It could be about the size of two wagons?'
øùú Echnaton asks "one question I thought up while sleeping over it - you said something about an 'innocent' monster. What does this mean exactly?"
øùú Varadrion looks to Faelnon and says "You couldn't just say 'two wagons’?'
øùú Tengu asks, "I presume you're... we're not the only group that seeks it"
øùú Faelnon says, 'I could've, but I wanted to eat first.'
øùú Shandor turns to Echnaton, 'The dragon is considered a monster, stereotypically, but it has done nothing wrong, therefore it is an innocent monster.'
øùú Varadrion sighs "This is pointless, how will we know what size object we are looking for, especially if it eludes the not-so-incredible perception of the two of you?"
øùú Faelnon says, 'Yes, how will we find this baby dragon, 'cause there are just so many flying about...'
øùú Varadrion says "Well its obviously isn't going to be just flying around, or have a sign on it that says 'DRAGON HERE' now will it"
øùú Faelnon shrugs, 'It might do...'
øùú Varadrion asks Shandor "Its mother was evil, would we be correct to assume it will grow up the same way?"
øùú Shandor says, 'Perhaps so, but it might just be a normal creature, like a cat or a bird.'
øùú Varadrion says "But most birds or cats don't have the power to destroy the world"
øùú Tengu asks, 'Any glues where is it now?'
øùú Shandor says, 'Nor does it, it is too young to pose much threat.'
øùú Kalypse turns to Varadrion 'Most birds or cats do not want to destroy the world'
øùú Shandor turns to Tengu, 'Um, it went north? That's the hint we've got.'
øùú Varadrion asks Kalypse with a smile "And how do you know this?"
øùú Dytalorien chuckles, "I don't know, my mommy's cat was pretty evil."
øùú Kalypse replies 'My little secret..' and winks
øùú Shandor turns to Kalypse, 'She is a druid, can talk to nature and all that.'
øùú Echnaton asks "was that 'innocent' just a phrase or has it some real influence for the ritual you told us about?"
øùú Varadrion smiles
øùú Kalypse adds 'You are looking at a druid, mind you..'
øùú Shandor says, 'The ritual states that it is an innocent monster that is killed, so I'm assuming, it means the Child will be innocent.'
øùú Tengu states, 'History told that there were wars waging for dragon relics. Now a living creature emerges, I fear there will be many eager to claim it.'
øùú Shandor says, 'Someone already has claimed it Tengu.......'
øùú Echnaton smiles "well, maybe we don’t even have to slaughter it, maybe its enough to let it do something -hmm- not innocent."
øùú Varadrion looks at Echnaton and says "But we don't know that we could get it to commit such an act"
øùú Shandor looks up at the sky briefly.
øùú Kalypse yawns
øùú Kalypse says 'I hate trains!'
øùú Varadrion looks around at the scenery and asks to anyone "Anyone have an idea how far we are going?"
øùú Echnaton looks out of the window again, watching the landscape move by
øùú Dytalorien withdraws his silver flute and twirls it within his left hand, absently.
øùú Shandor steadies the horses as they trot on.
øùú Kalypse says 'I have to move...' and starts walking through the different wagons of the train
øùú Rue returns to her wagon and removes the bandages from her head
øùú Faelnon follows Rue, 'So, how is your head today?'
øùú Tengu holds a firm grip of his seat, not to fall down from wagon, 'Kalypse, why do you hate it?'
øùú Rue leans towards a mirror and looks at the injury. "You're the healer. You tell me." she smiles.
øùú Kalypse turns her attention back to Tengu 'I feel trapped... I like the freedom of the forests and the infinity of the horizon... not a box that moves'
øùú Faelnon says, 'It's healing nicely, I wouldn't get into trouble for a few days though.'
øùú Rue rolls her eyes. "That takes the fun out of everything."
øùú Echnaton says to Kalypse "try sitting on the roof. it works for me."
øùú Varadrion turns to Kalypse and says "It works for me too"
øùú Faelnon smiles, 'It certainly makes being with this group much harder.'
øùú Kalypse says 'Hmm, that might work, Echnaton, thank you'
øùú Kalypse moves up to the roof
øùú Rue nods. "And it's certainly easier said than done."
øùú Ariea leaves her cabin and moves up to where most of the others are, 'How is everyone this morning?'
øùú Kalypse shouts back at Rue 'I am used to keeping balance of myself'
øùú Varadrion bows to Ariea and replies "Bored, and you?"
øùú Tengu replies to Kalypse, 'One should value what he has, perhaps someday you'll understand the advantages of confined spaces' - and struggles to remain on his seat as the wagon jumps on another pot-hole.
øùú Kalypse finds a comfortable place at the roof, wind blowing on her face.. she stares at the landscape passing by
øùú Shandor whistles quietly.
øùú Kalypse pretends not to have heard what Tengu said as she left
øùú Varadrion turns slightly to Tengu and says "Confined spaces make fighting difficult"
øùú Shandor says to Varadrion, 'Makes them more fun though.'
øùú Tengu replies, 'As well as for your opponent.'
øùú Varadrion turns to Shandor and says "Depends"
øùú Kalypse shouts to the inside of the train 'Will you all leave me alone here?'
øùú Ariea smiles, 'You have to do all your fighting in a bar, other wise it's no fun at all.'
øùú Dytalorien scratches his head.
øùú Echnaton climbs up to the roof and sits down a little bit away from Kalypse
øùú Shandor , currently sitting at the front of the 'train holding the reigns, calls back to Kalypse, 'I'd come and chat, but if I let go the 'train will go anywhere...'
øùú Kalypse waves to Echnaton 'Isn’t the wind a marvellous thing?'
øùú Rue goes to the food wagon, takes an apple and returns to her wagon.
øùú Echnaton nods
øùú Ariea climbs onto the roof and moves back towards Kalypse.
øùú Rue pulls herself up onto the roof and joins Ariea and Kalypse.
øùú Kalypse puts her legs around some iron sticks on one border of the train not to fall and lies down on the train roof watching the sky
øùú Ariea sits down next to Kalypse, 'Hey there, not enjoying the journey?'
øùú Faelnon returns with even more food.
øùú Shandor steals some of the food while Faelnon isn't watching.
øùú Kalypse smiles at Ariea 'Yes, the journey I am, was not enjoying the moving box though'
øùú Isondil re-enters his and Rue's cabin and looks around to find it deserted
øùú Ariea smiles, 'Yes, they are rather annoying. I'll have to say though, it is easier to travel via the 'train than on horseback.'
øùú Isondil moves outside and begins to cross the 'bridge' between the cabins
øùú Echnaton smiles "depends what you are used to"
øùú Kalypse nods to Ariea 'Good thing there is always the roof'
øùú Ariea smiles.
øùú Varadrion climbs up onto the roof and walks towards the group sitting up there
øùú Isondil glances around the next cabin to find it also devoid of people
øùú Rue sits facing the front of the train and lets the wind blow her hair back as she stares at the scenery.
<@Narrator> The wagon train, still chasing the thieves, heads along a path, running on the edge of a dead-end valley filled to about the halfway mark with crystal clear water. The valley itself looks quite similar to the one Shandor and the others lead the orc horde into over a year ago, only that the ledge sloped upwards to the side.
øùú Tengu looks around and notes, 'A good place for a trap...'
øùú Shandor turns to Tengu, 'Filling out the paranoia part of this group, I see...'
øùú Echnaton looks at Tengu and nods
øùú Rue hears Tengu's comment, but continues to stare ahead.
øùú Echnaton says "pardon me", stands up and moves to his wagon and climbs in
øùú Isondil scrambles onto the roof of one of the cabins and looks around and notices part of the group ahead
øùú Varadrion is still laying face up on the roof
øùú Tengu says, 'I don’t understand what do you mean. I just noticed that if one has to set a trap, he would likely set it here, so he can capture or kill us all easily without us being able to resist'
øùú Shandor shrugs.
øùú Isondil begins jumping elegantly from cabin roof to cabin roof
øùú Kalypse sits down at the front of the wagon train. She looks about and spots a small group of birds up above them, perched on a small ledge.
øùú Tengu says, 'Sorry if I frightened you…'
øùú Varadrion looks at Tengu and says "You're great for morale"
øùú Kalypse is trying to work out what species they are when they begin squawking and take off into the air.
øùú Kalypse says to Shandor, ‘Those birds are… scared..... I don’t understand it, there’s nothing wrong that I can see…’
øùú Rue watches the birds warily.
<@Narrator> There is a brief shake and a rumble. Large boulders tumble towards the group.
øùú Varadrion looks at Kalypse and stands
øùú Shandor looks towards the boulders, 'Oh firestorms re-born…Tengu, I'm blaming you for this.' As he lets go of the reigns, the horses, terrified, break free and gallop off.
øùú Shandor hollers backwards, 'Hang on tight, folks.'
øùú Echnaton comes out from his wagon with the mandatory longbow over the shoulder
<@Narrator> Crack. The first boulder slams into one of the wagons, the driver's one. It breaks free of the others and tumbles off the edge and plummets into the water.
øùú Isondil stops dead as he sees the boulders approach the group
<@Narrator> The other boulders did alike as the entire wagon train twists and groans, its wheels scraping and clawing the dirt path, trying to stay up.
øùú Faelnon , who returned to his cabin, is flung forward from one of the boulders as a plank of wood breaks like a twig beneath him, several splinters finding their way into his leg. The last thing he sees is his head hurtling towards a cabinet.
øùú Echnaton tries to maintain balance on the roof
øùú Rue dives into a wagon car and slams the door shut.
øùú Tengu leaps away from the first boulder, then hardly evades second one.
<@Narrator> The wagon train gives up its struggle and slides off the edge. The doors and windows seem to weld shut as the wagons slam into the deep water below. The weapon's wagon splits into several pieces as it collides against the cliff face a few metres above the water, its contents fly from their holds and smash into the water.
øùú Rue is thrown back off of the roof and hits the shaky bridge headfirst. She winces as her wound starts bleeding a staggers up.
<@Narrator> The fact the wagons aren't submergible makes itself painfully obvious as water begins pouring into them.
<@Narrator> Above, from where the rocks emanated, a magic user chuckles, 'That should keep them for a while.'
øùú Varadrion lets go of the wagon and swims to the surface
øùú Shandor was flung from the 'train and hits the water painfully.
øùú Echnaton jumps from the roof towards the shore, splashing in the water about two meters before
øùú Rue struggles to swim out from underneath the train.
øùú Ariea , who has also returned to her wagon and is thrown about as water begins flooding in.
øùú Kalypse was hurt on the fall by on of the metal pieces of the wagon and mutters 'What just happened?'
øùú Varadrion looks around and sees only Echnaton and Shandor at the surface
øùú Shandor , looking about dizzy, 'I think something hit us...'
øùú Kalypse follows where everybody is going
øùú Rue pushes her way to the surface and gasps for air.
øùú Varadrion says to him "You don't say..."
øùú Shandor looks about, ignoring Varadrion, 'Where's Ariea? And Faelnon.'
øùú Echnaton reaches the shore and looks for any visible attackers. As there seems to be a bit of time, he looks how to help the fellows
øùú Varadrion says "I don't think they got out"
øùú Shandor swims towards the 'train which is sinking quickly.
øùú Rue looks around, dazed
øùú Varadrion says "Get Ariea, I'll find Faelnon"
øùú Shandor takes a deep breath before diving into the cold water.
øùú Varadrion swims after Shandor
øùú Tengu after being dragged down by the remains of the wagon, makes himself free without a rush, then swims up to the surface.
øùú Shandor finds his cabin's door, it's completely stuck shut.
øùú Echnaton deposits his stuff, jumps back in the water and assists the next one in reach to get out
øùú Shandor kicks on it and shoves it, without success.
øùú Varadrion takes a breath and swims down, looking for anyone he can find
øùú Varadrion points to the window of the cabin Shandor is looking into
øùú Ariea struggles for air as the last of it is forced from the wagon by the water.
øùú Varadrion finds Faelnon's wagon and swims around to a window
øùú Shandor heads up to the window, smashes the glass, but is blocked by the shutters.
øùú Tengu emerges on the surface, counts the survivors then dives again without taking a breath.
øùú Shandor kicks it as hard as he can.
øùú Ariea pulls on the shutters as they suddenly cave in.
øùú Shandor swims into the wagon.
øùú Ariea swims straight past Shandor and heads for the air.
øùú Shandor mouths 'You're welcome' before heading after her.
øùú Kalypse lies on a grass spot a bit away from the group
øùú Tengu dives to the each of the wagons and checks for survivors.
øùú Shandor hits the surface.
øùú Echnaton swims to where Shandor dived.
øùú Ariea breathes in relief.
øùú Shandor dives back into the waters and heads to Faelnon's cabin, he's nearly escaped already, but is unconscious. He swims over and grabs Faelnon by the shoulders, dragging him towards the surface.
øùú Tengu help Shandor to drag Faelnon.
øùú Shandor slaps Faelnon once.
øùú Echnaton notices that Shandor got Faelnon and returns to the shore
øùú Faelnon moans, 'Murhh, I'm alive!'
øùú Kalypse stands up slowly, a bit bruised and says towards the group 'Is anyone hurt?'
øùú Echnaton asks "is everybody fine .... somehow?"
øùú Shandor says, 'I'm okay, I think Faelnon is okay.'
øùú Faelnon pipes up, 'I'm okay.'
øùú Kalypse says 'If everybody is fine, we should keep moving... the thieves will not wait for us'
øùú Shandor nods, but looks about, 'Er, exactly how do we get out of this? The cliff is too steep to climb, and the water seems to go on for a long time... I guess our best bet is to try swimming, if everyone is up for it?'
øùú Echnaton says "we need to catch the horses, then we have to get some food and weapons from the last two wagons."
øùú Echnaton adds "maybe some personal stuff from the other wagons, too."
øùú Tengu says, 'Do you think that ones that sought our demise consider us dead?'
øùú Kalypse says 'I doubt it..'
øùú Shandor says, 'Perhaps, or they at least think it slowed us down... which it did.'
øùú Kalypse says 'I have no problems swimming... does everybody know how to swim?'
øùú Echnaton says "if the wagons are made from wood we might build a raft."
øùú Shandor turns to Echnaton, 'The horses are long gone, if they weren't hit by the boulders, they have galloped far away, they were terrified. We won't be able to carry many weapons, so only take small, light things.'
øùú Shandor says, 'I can swim it, but a raft might be a better idea, it will be hard to construct presently however.
øùú Kalypse looks around 'Not much wood... no roots or anything we can use to tie them..'
øùú Shandor says, 'This water is freezing, we have to act fast.'
øùú Tengu says, 'Are you sure that... er... "raft" is a quicker way?'
øùú Shandor says, 'I said better, not quicker.'
øùú Echnaton says if nobody need help rescuing stuff, we really should move. the water is indeed cold."
<@Narrator> The water begins to settle from the collision, but something is disturbed beneath. Large eel-like creatures zip through the water, diving between the wagons, looking for something to eat.
øùú Shandor sighs, 'Well, at least we are all okay.'
øùú Shandor feels something dash past his foot.
øùú Shandor looks down, 'What the Tarkna was that?'
øùú Isondil climbs up onto part of the wagon floating and looks around and something disturbing the water
øùú Isondil begins shouting as he sees one of the eel type creatures pass him in the water
øùú Ariea looks down in the water and sees something jet past.
øùú Echnaton notices that something is going on and says insistently "Lets move, but calmly!"
øùú Ariea takes out a small dagger, 'Ah! What was that?'
øùú Echnaton does what he suggested......
<@Narrator> One of the creatures hits the surface and heads straight at the group.
øùú Kalypse shouts 'aaaaahhhhhhh, look at that!'
øùú Ariea swipes at it with the dagger, but misses.
øùú Isondil doesn't try and stand up on part of wagon for fear of falling in so draws a dagger
øùú Faelnon dodges it as it snaps at him.
øùú Kalypse runs and jumps over a rock on the cliff base
øùú Shandor removes a short sword from its sheath.
øùú Echnaton says to Shandor "if we get the food-wagon open, the supplies it might distract them."
øùú Shandor nods and is about to speak before something bites into his leg, 'Argh!' Within a few seconds one of the creatures has dragged him underwater.
øùú Isondil struggles to stay on the wagon as an eel-like creature bangs into it
øùú Tengu suddenly disappears from surface, which is foamed for a while, then appears again, a half of his robe's sleeve torn.
øùú Tengu states, 'They look hungry.'
øùú Faelnon says, 'Thank you oh-so-obvious.'
øùú Echnaton sees Shandor nodding and continues moving towards the second-last wagon
øùú Tengu dives in, swimming away from a creature.
øùú Faelnon rubs his head, 'Ow...' He states rather obviously.
øùú Tengu swims down to one of the broken wagons and shuts the door right before the creature, making it stuck in the window.
øùú Isondil yells in pain as one of the 'eel-like ' creatures sink their teeth into his leg
øùú Echnaton reaches the wagon and tries to open the door, avoiding any fast motion.
øùú Ariea swims after Shandor.
øùú Kalypse picks up some rocks and starts aiming at the creatures
øùú Faelnon spots Ariea diving and decides to follow.
øùú Shandor kicks and squirms, trying to get away from the creature, and another of them which is heading straight at him.
øùú Echnaton gets out his knife to break the jammed door open
øùú Isondil tries to hold on but is pulled underwater
øùú Shandor swipes at one, brushing his hand against its face, the water slowing down the motion.
øùú Kalypse misses her first attempts but soon she starts to hit a few
øùú Ariea grabs the tail of the second one, heading at Shandor, and tries to hit it with her free hand.
øùú Tengu is being pushed to the wagon's wall, as the locked creature tries to break through the door and reach him with it's teeth
øùú Faelnon swims past Ariea and takes the one object he had when he fell down, a quill, and tries to stab the eel-creature.
øùú Echnaton breaks the door open with a loud crack and swims in the wagon
øùú Isondil tries to kick his leg free but can't attack it with his dagger
øùú Faelnon gets the creature in the eye with the tip of his quill, he grins and tries (miserably) to say, 'Ha! The quill is mightier than the sword.'
øùú Shandor is gasping for air.
øùú Isondil is starting to become dizzy with lack of air
øùú Echnaton gets some pieces of meat, drags them out and starts throwing them away as far as possible.
øùú Faelnon is still grinning as the now-bleeding eel-creature dives at him, biting into his arm. He yelps in pain.
øùú Tengu grabs a sharp splint of wood big enough and starts stabbing the 'eel', trying to hit its eyes
øùú Echnaton retreats quietly but steadily from the open food-wagon.
øùú Isondil finally his dagger finds it's mark and kicks towards the surface
øùú Faelnon wishes he hadn't followed Ariea now as he grips his wound. The bleeding creature is turning back for more as three more head straight towards the two.
øùú Echnaton returns to the group, the knife in his hand and a grim look in his face.
øùú Isondil draws large gasps of air as his head breaks the surface of the water
øùú Shandor squirms free and heads to the surface.
øùú Faelnon closes his eyes as the three new creatures head straight at him. He hears something that sounds like growling, but he doesn't feel any pain. He opens his eyes to see the bleeding creature being torn apart by the three new ones.
øùú Tengu suddenly opens the door, letting blinded creature in, quickly leaves the wagon and shuts the door behind the eel-creature, locking it within
øùú Faelnon swims past Ariea and heads to the surface.
øùú Ariea beats her creature and swims up to the surface.
øùú Isondil looks around and sees that the blood from his leg is attracting some of the 'eel like' creatures
øùú Shandor gasps, trying to take in as much air as possible.
øùú Ariea says, 'I'm going to get a better weapon!' before heading underneath the waves again, heading to her cabin.
øùú Tengu swims to the surface just to see a bunch of other creatures approaching.
øùú Shandor turns to Faelnon, 'Do you remember a time when she enjoyed staying behind, or not fighting?'
øùú Faelnon says, 'Not really, I think my grandfather might though.' He begins smiling.
øùú Isondil begins to swim towards a wagon roof
øùú Shandor dives after Ariea.
øùú Isondil scrambles onto the roof and stands up slowly
øùú Ariea reaches her cabin and pokes through a chest, retrieving the broadsword she was admiring earlier. She turns to leave when one of the creatures nips in after her.
øùú Echnaton looks who is in most despair and heads towards...
øùú Faelnon spots Rue and goes over to check on her.
øùú Kalypse feels a rock that fell from the cliff on her head and falls from the ledge where she was, unconscious.
øùú Ariea swings violently, and as powerfully as she can, towards the creature, she misses and the blade cuts deeply into the side of the wagon.
øùú Isondil takes out his bow and thanks himself for switching strings to the one that is waterproof
øùú Isondil fit's an arrow unto the string and begins scanning the water for some of the eel like creatures
øùú Tengu fights off with a piece of wood another creature which is trying to bite his legs.
øùú Shandor sees Ariea swinging the broadsword about, and decides its probably safer to help someone else. He spots a rock falling through the water and heads to where it came from.
øùú Echnaton hears a loud splash besides him, after quite a time he notices a hand appearing in the splashing water
øùú Isondil sees one approaching him and let's an arrow fly at the eel like creature and hitting it
øùú Ariea has weakened the roof of the wagon immensely with her violent swings. She makes one final one, which slices the creature in half, and carries on into the cabin's side, the roof snaps off and slides away slightly.
øùú Echnaton leaps over to where Kalypse fall, this time ignoring not to make fast movements
øùú Shandor finds Kalypse floating in the water and helps move her over to Faelnon, 'She needs help!'
øùú Faelnon nods and states, 'All of my medical supplies are ruined now. The wound doesn't look too severe though, fortunately.'
øùú Tengu notices one of the eel-creatures approaching Kalypse and grabs it behind its head with both hands, riding it for a moment
øùú Isondil watches it splash in pain and smiles at this rather sadistically
øùú Ariea hits the surface of the water and yells, 'I've got your roof Echnaton! Where ever you are, and if you want it, come help me get it up... you too Shandor.'
øùú Shandor nods, 'Look after Kalypse.' He states to Faelnon before diving into the water, following Ariea.
øùú Isondil turns around and slips of the roof winding himself
øùú Isondil splashes about and watches his bow float away
øùú Shandor grabs a part of the loose-roof and tries to swim towards the surface.
øùú Echnaton swims up to Ariea and helps her
øùú Ariea grabs the other side and tries her best to move it.
øùú Isondil continues to splash about trying to retain his breath
<@Narrator> Together, Ariea, Echnaton and Shandor manage to get the roof to the surface.
øùú Tengu grabs the creature firmly by the gills and jumps wildly as it tries to throw him off.
øùú Isondil notices his bow floating away and tries to swim towards it
øùú Tengu is being pulled down as the creature dives.
øùú Ariea notices that the underside is slightly curved and, with the aid of Shandor, flips it over, 'I think it'll float if we get the water out of it.'
øùú Isondil grabs his bow and begins laughing to himself about the eel like creature splashing in pain
øùú Shandor says, 'Without having to resort to a bucket, I'll try a quick spell, just make sure none of those eel-things heads near us.'
øùú Echnaton assists turning the roof to the other side
øùú Isondil begins to swim over to Faelnon to see if he can help him with Rue or Kalypse
øùú Echnaton throws the arrows from his quiver inside the boat-to-be, hands Ariea the empty quiver and says "that should do as bucket."
øùú Shandor mutters something as his voice changes in pitch, getting deeper. His eyes change colour for a split-second as the water is hurled from the curved part of the roof.
<@Narrator> The roof sits floating quietly on the waters surface.
øùú Faelnon says, 'Tell Rue to get over here Isondil.'
øùú Tengu reappears on the surface after a minute or so. His robe is torn in many places, few nasty bites are visible.
øùú Ariea grins, looking at Shandor's magic display, 'Pfft, us use a bucket?'
øùú Isondil nods to Faelnon and beckons Rue to follow him
øùú Echnaton starts to drag the injured to the boat and helps getting them in
øùú Isondil allows Rue to pass him so he can keep a look out for any of the eel like creatures
øùú Shandor says, 'Get the others into the raft.'
øùú Shandor looks about, 'I don't see any of those eel-things... for the moment at least.'
øùú Tengu swims up to the so-called raft with a few swings and pulls himself on it's surface.
øùú Isondil and Rue reach the raft and Isondil helps Rue in
øùú Shandor helps Ariea onto the raft before helping Faelnon get Kalypse on board.
øùú Shandor says to Faelnon, 'Healers first.' Shandor just hopes that he weight doesn't send the raft to the bottom of this lake.
øùú Faelnon hauls himself onto the raft.
øùú Echnaton climbs in the raft as one of the last. in the almost last second, when his feet were almost out of the water, one of the creatures bites in the left foot and is drawn into the raft along with him
øùú Cyria who has been swimming around randomly swims to the raft
øùú Shandor looks about the water, 'Is everyone out?'
øùú Isondil scrambles onto the raft and begins to look at his blood covered leg
øùú Tengu jumps to Echnaton and tries to unlock creature's jaws.
øùú Shandor smiles to Cyria, 'Come on, get on board.
øùú Echnaton tries to ignore the pain and nods gratefully to Tengu.
øùú Shandor swipes blindly at a creature beneath the surface.
øùú Isondil looks around and sees Kalypse and asks Faelnon 'Is she ok?'
øùú Tengu kicks the creature off, nods to Echnaton, helping him to get onto the raft
øùú Cyria climbs onboard the raft, careful to avoid the creatures
øùú Faelnon nods, 'She'll be fine.'
øùú Ariea smiles, 'She had better be, she makes the best pie I've ever tasted.'
øùú Shandor checks to make sure no-one is left in the water. He swims about an collects several pieces of wood, perfect for paddles.
øùú Shandor swims back to the raft, throws the paddles on board and climbs after them.
øùú Isondil smiles and says ' She may make the best pies but Mihwen makes the best dragon stews'
øùú Echnaton tries to move his foot, it works, and as the water flowing through the holes of the boot is only slightly red, he murmurs "cant be too bad."
øùú Tengu approaches Kalypse, leaving pools of reddish water behind him and asks, 'Anything serious?'
øùú Ariea shakes his head, 'A light bump on the head.'
øùú Ariea says, 'Right? I mean, it isn't bleeding...'
øùú Faelnon nods and smiles, 'Quite correct, You might make a good healer, like me.'
øùú Ariea blurts out, 'Oh, I'm not that bad!'
øùú Isondil smiles at Ariea's comment
øùú Faelnon smiles, 'I'm not going to reply to that out of politeness.
øùú Shandor hands a paddle to whoever wants one, 'Who's for getting out of here?'
øùú Isondil takes a paddle from Shandor and says ' Ready when you are'
øùú Shandor nods, 'Then start paddling, just make sure we are all going in the right direction.'
øùú Echnaton smirks "isn't it perfect? he only has offer help and they feel fine again."
øùú Echnaton asks "north or south?"
øùú Echnaton grabs one of the woods and prepared for paddling.
øùú Shandor looks at the sky and surroundings, 'Well, we came from there-' he points one way, '-But that was the dead-end of the valley, so that way.' He finishes pointing the other way.
øùú Shandor begins paddling.
øùú Faelnon joins in.
øùú Ariea grins, 'I can't paddle, I'm a lady, we don't do that sort of thing you know.' In a suitably over-the-top posh accent.
øùú Tengu takes another piece of wood, then looks at paddling group mates and starts copying their moves.
øùú Isondil begins paddling
øùú Isondil glances at Ariea and frowns
øùú Ariea grins and leans back, resisting the temptation to start yelling at the group to paddle faster.
øùú Varadrion lays back and looks to the sky
øùú Ariea prods Varadrion with the tip of her boot, 'Get paddling!'
øùú Isondil glances again back at Ariea but refrains from comment remembering what happened to the barkeeper.
øùú Varadrion raises an eyebrow at Ariea, and then picks up a piece of wood and begins paddling
øùú Shandor says, 'Ariea, I don't think Tildruin is good for you... it's made you more... Evil. I think we need to move back to A'lure.'
øùú Tengu completely ignores his wounds, after minutes of repeating moves he enters a kind of meditative trance, still paddling however.
øùú Varadrion looks at Tengu and makes a stabbing motion with his paddle in his direction, for all to see
øùú Isondil begins to paddle at a leisurely pace
øùú Ariea pokes Varadrion again, 'Only I may kill members of our group... Well, and Shandor if he goes Evil again...'
øùú Varadrion looks at Ariea and says "you wish"
øùú Shandor thinks aloud "by accident", 'I've got to go Evil so I can kill Varadrion... At least I didn't say that out loud.'
øùú Varadrion rolls his eyes
øùú Isondil smiles and says 'While you’re evil kill Ariea or at least lock her up'
øùú Faelnon grins at Shandor and Varadrion, 'Shandor, get in line, apparently, he left me to die back there while I was knocked out, had to go fighting mini-fish or something, anyway, I get to kill him first.'
øùú Varadrion chuckles and mumbles "Bad idea Isondil."
øùú Shandor sighs, 'Aw, no fair, I've hated him longer.'
øùú Cyria wonders what on earth Tengu is doing
øùú Faelnon says, 'Ah, but Varadrion hated my leadership from the beginning.'
øùú Shandor nods, 'But, he has annoyed me for longer.'
øùú Faelnon says, 'I get to kill him!'
øùú Varadrion says "Wait, I hated it AT the beginning, I've liked it, on occasion"
øùú Shandor says, 'Pfft, over his dead body! I'm killing him first.'
øùú Varadrion looks around and says "Exactly how far are we paddling?"
øùú Isondil frowns at the potential argument brewing
øùú Shandor says, resuming paddling, 'Until we hit the shore... wherever that is.'
øùú Varadrion looks for shore, but upon seeing none, curses in elven
øùú Isondil looks around and says ' This lake seems to be a lot bigger than I first thought'
øùú Shandor continues paddling.
øùú Ariea sits up and looks around, 'This place is awful, couldn't you bring me some where nice, Shandor?'
øùú Isondil leans back and stops paddling thinking to himself
øùú Shandor turns to Ariea, 'Wasn't our day trip out to hell 'n' back good enough for you?' Before grinning.
øùú Echnaton says to himself while paddling "This worlds fate lies in OUR hands..."
øùú Ariea mumbles, 'The world is screwed.'
øùú Faelnon smiles, 'Buh-bye world.'
øùú Shandor states, 'I lived a good life...'
øùú Isondil groans and thoughts flash across his mind involving his paddle and Ariea and smiles to himself
øùú Echnaton shakes his head, smiles and paddles on
øùú Rue leans on an elbow and stares at the water.
øùú Shandor asks, 'So, what did everyone do since we killed the dragon?' He realises this was asked a few days ago, but maybe he would hear a story with more grandeur.
øùú Varadrion continues paddling, and spreads his cloak out on the deck to dry, although some of the bloodstains look like they would never come out
øùú Isondil leans forward again and begins paddling again
øùú Shandor notices the lack of replies and focuses on the water.
øùú Shandor mumbles, 'I don't see any more eel-things.'
øùú Isondil turns to Faelnon and says ' How will we pursue the thieves now we have no transportation?'
øùú Varadrion says "Lots of people have horses, we have a few skilled thieves, shouldn't be that hard"
øùú Echnaton smiles
øùú Faelnon says, 'I am not entirely sure.'
øùú Faelnon says, 'But it will be interesting to find out.'
øùú Varadrion says "Not like they would mind, or have a choice"
øùú Cyria says, "I had gone back to the emerald bay and have been helping the lower-class commoners"
øùú Isondil raises an eyebrow at the phrase 'Skilled the thieves'
øùú Shandor nods to Cyria, 'An honourable task.'
øùú Rue looks at Shandor with tight lips and shakes her head, turns back to the water.
øùú Varadrion says to Shandor "I had just a few 'jobs' here and there, people we probably wouldn't like to meet"
øùú Rue shifts uncomfortably at the mention of what happened after the dragon and stares at the water.
øùú Varadrion pipes up "After we killed the dragon, different organisations popped up that were rumoured to be interested in raiding the site of its death
øùú Shandor nods, 'Yes, we had to fight some of those off.'
øùú Isondil notices Rue looking uncomfortable but out of politeness doesn't ask why
øùú Echnaton asks Shandor "what happened to your drag-scale-business you planned?"
øùú Shandor says, 'I planned what now? Oh that, was that me? I forget, anyway, I just forgot about that, and set up a shop nearby.'
øùú Echnaton says "it is astonishing how fast the city of Tildruin was rebuilt."
øùú Isondil stops paddling and once again leans back
øùú Rue bites her lip and looks at the water again, trying to look occupied.
øùú Shandor dips his hand into the water, whispering, 'Here fish-y fish-y fish-y-things. I'm hungry....'
øùú Varadrion says "Anyways, I was asked, by certain people, to find a few of the lesser known organisations, and 'remove' the leaders of some of them
øùú Echnaton takes the chance to check the state of his foot, virtually the thick leather of the boot prohibited worse besides some small bite-marks.
øùú Isondil glances at Varadrion and smiles a strange smile
øùú Shandor grins remembering, 'Oh that's right, they wanted to come to steal the mountains of gold that was there.' He chuckles, 'I said that there were gems as big as a troll before we started, y'know, to get people to join. Well, all of that was just a lie...'
øùú Cyria sits in the middle of the raft and looks off at the horizon
øùú Tengu says, 'The key.'
øùú Shandor removes his hand from the water and continues paddling.
øùú Shandor says, 'Those organisations were the destroyers of most of the Gifts, so I hope they are all disbanded, or at least, unable to destroy the rest, is that true Varadrion?'
øùú Varadrion replies "But some of the people who contacted me preferred not to take the chance of them actually finding something powerful"
øùú Varadrion says "I'm sure your lies didn't help matters, but even so, its a few less evil people in the world"
øùú Rue listens to the conversation, choosing not to say anything.
øùú Varadrion says to Shandor "From what I heard, me and some others, with the help of you and your friends, were able to cause the collapse of many of those groups"
øùú Shandor turns to Varadrion, 'Good, shame that we've lost most of it though, there's only a small patch of the robe left. The bow has taken a few scratches but is okay, and I think there are a couple more, they are all in the Order of Cothin-Cal's museum at A'lure, we can visit there, if possible.'
øùú Isondil looks at Shandor and says 'All the remaining gifts are under guard in A'lure?'
øùú Varadrion asks "I suppose most of what’s left wouldn't be any good for this trip?"
øùú Rue shakes her head. "I doubt the gifts will be of any use in boxes in a museum."
øùú Varadrion says "Boxes can be broken"
øùú Shandor nods, 'Yes, they are in a section of the Order's head quarters where we keep all of the stuff, there's a few bits of rubble from the 'prison', oh and a couple of the scales from the dragon.'
øùú Echnaton smiles
øùú Shandor says, 'I doubt the Gifts will be of much use, the bow still works, but not as well, the robe is useless. And the others have released the power they once had, if we are right.'
øùú Varadrion sighs "Perhaps I will visit there one day"
øùú Rue goes back to silently staring at the water.
øùú Isondil nods and set's his paddle in front of Ariea and lies back
øùú Shandor says, 'The halfling yew wand does nothing now, a few sparks of flame at best. The Orc polearm is practically ashes now.'
øùú Isondil says 'And the orc helmet?'
øùú Shandor says, 'Gone, we found it in the rubble at Tildruin, but it was so badly damaged, putting it on would probably cause the owner severe head wounds.'
øùú Varadrion says "Seeing as how we are short an orc..."
øùú Shandor remembers the fates of the others, 'The human book of spells was burnt to ashes, save two pages. The human sword was broken at the hit. The dwarf's armour was torn apart, and their axe was snapped in two like a twig.'
øùú Isondil nods slowly
øùú Rue places her fingertips in the water and drags them along, watching the path they make in the water.
øùú Isondil looks at Rue and says 'Anything wrong Rue?'
øùú Rue clears her throat and shakes her head.
øùú Shandor says, 'The halfling staff of earth is still buried under the remaining rubble, we think; what else...? Oh, the Troll Gifts were torn apart too.'
øùú Isondil nods and says 'Ok' although not totally convinced that Rue is indeed ok
øùú Varadrion says "I think its safe to say the gifts are of little use"
øùú Shandor says, 'The Gifts, which had survived thousands of years were destroyed within months of us getting them, and yet all of us are alive, rather surprising.'
øùú Faelnon grins, 'Says you who died...'
øùú Tengu asks, 'And how old was the Dragon, before we brought demise to him?'
øùú Echnaton says nothing, just listens
øùú Shandor corrects, '*She* was thousands of years old at least. Myth has it, that Evil was embodied in her, when she was created, but that wasn't confirmed.'
øùú Cyria says, "A dragon that powerful must have been extremely old"
øùú Shandor says, 'Some say she was just 'created' after the last race war, who can say though? I myself... I'm not sure, perhaps she was captured and imprisoned, or maybe she was summoned.'
øùú Shandor nods, 'Indeed.'
øùú Tengu asks, 'Maybe it be that she was just a vessel?'
øùú Rue listens intently, taking her mind off of other things.
øùú Varadrion says "Who would be crazy enough to think they could control that?"
øùú Shandor says, 'Didn't I say that? Evil embodied in her, she was the vessel to Evil? I thought that was clear.'
øùú Shandor says, 'I don't think the creators ever meant to control it, rather, to 'take away' the evil from the races, to stop the Race Wars, and had to put all this evil somewhere, so they put it in the Dragon; well, that's how the myth goes.'
øùú Tengu says, 'I mean - Evil is not her natural part, and it might be alive after we killed her. And seeking another vessel.'
øùú Shandor says, 'Then again, there are about five different versions of the myth.'
øùú Varadrion turns to Tengu and says "How do you know the evil wasn't part of her, we didn't exactly have a friendly conversation with her"
øùú Isondil rolls his eyes
øùú Shandor says, 'Evil is never gone, everyone knows that. Evil is in each one of us; and has the innate power to overwhelm and control.'
øùú Shandor suddenly looks away from the conversation, mumbling, 'Er no, 'course not.'
øùú Varadrion replies "Or be controlled, its just a matter of wills"
øùú Echnaton nods
øùú Tengu says to Varadrion, 'But we can't say opposite for the same reason.'
øùú Isondil nods and says looking at Ariea ' Maybe some of us might want to try and overcome the evil inside us'
øùú Faelnon states, 'According to scrolls that we found, the dragon was to destroy the world, I don't think good was a major player in her heart.'
øùú Ariea looks at Isondil, 'Yes, Evil is an awful thing...'
øùú Rue nods, looking at the scenery from time to time, wondering where they'll end up.
øùú Varadrion says "Her trying to barbeque us was probably a pretty good indication of that"
øùú Tengu turns to Shandor, 'Agree, Evil feeds on our desires, if we control them, it will never prevail.'
øùú Ariea says, 'And let's not forget, it was I who came and fought the evil in Shandor, as I recall, you just stood around getting knocked down by flying bricks.'
øùú Varadrion says to Tengu "Certain desires, not all"
øùú Isondil stares almost defiantly back at Ariea and says ' Yes but I didn't have to put spells on myself to fight Shandor'
øùú Ariea chuckles, 'You couldn't of fought him, he would have crushed you, if I remember correctly, when I arrived, you were trapped, bound by a simple spell, ready to be killed like a lamb.'
øùú Shandor tries to change the topic, 'So... Where are you all living now?'
øùú Varadrion says "You would have been the same way without help though"
øùú Varadrion smiles at Shandor and says "For my line of a work, a single residence is... a bad idea"
øùú Isondil continues 'I would have also only the chance did not arise
øùú Rue looks over at Shandor. "Nowhere."
øùú Cyria says, "I have been travelling the emerald bay area"
øùú Echnaton smiles "home is where my heart is..."
øùú Varadrion says "Home is where the money, or the cause is"
øùú Rue clears her throat. "Or..to be more specific, I live in a different place every night. I stay where there is free rest and free food."
øùú Shandor smiles, 'Well, after this, you could come stay with me and Ariea at the shop in Tildruin... You could work there as well.... providing you don't blow anything up.'
øùú Echnaton looks over to Rue opens his mouth for a question, but then says nothing.
øùú Varadrion says "You work there, why would it be a problem Shandor"
øùú Rue laughs. "I don't think I could live in one place for more than a few days, though it is incredibly kind of you to offer."
øùú Shandor smiles, 'Ah, that type of person.'
øùú Isondil mumbles to himself ' Sounds more like a punishment'
øùú Shandor turns to Varadrion, 'Well, if you ever tried to move in, I'd blow up the store myself.'
øùú Isondil picks up his paddle and begins paddling again
øùú Varadrion replies "Don't worry, that will never be a problem"
øùú Faelnon grins, 'If Sarah hasn't done it already.'
øùú Ariea jumps to Sarah's defence, 'Hey! She's a good friend, and a good worker, nothing's gone wrong...' She adds quietly, 'That a bit of money can't fix.'
øùú Rue drums her fingers on the side of the boat.
<@Narrator> The raft continues on for the rest of the day and most of the night before the group drop off to sleep and the slow-moving current pushes it along.
<@Narrator> <<<<<<<<<<<<< The 'Quest' II - Session III Is over! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
'The Best of the Rest'
<+Varadrion> ooc narration now, argue later
<@Narrator> OOC I just did narrate.... I knew going back to Narrator would screw with your minds. Good work whoever suggested that.
øùú Ariea looks about her cabin, she opens Shandor's chest and begins moving through swords, 'He'll never let me use these unless I steal them, yes, that's enough logic for me.' She states to no-one, removing a nice broadsword from the chest.
øùú Tengu says, "Rumours spread fast, there was a kind of a mess in Muthrid. I didn't believe until I heard your descriptions. So what goal do you pursue that time?"
øùú Shandor says, 'An unpleasant one.'
øùú Tengu says, 'The fruit of wisdom is always bitter, but could you be more specific?'
øùú Shandor says, 'Medium size, scaly, bad mood, breathes fire.'
øùú Shandor says, 'And I don't mean Faelnon in the morning...'
øùú Faelnon says, 'Good thing too.' He says reaching the front of the 'train again.
øùú Tengu says, "But is was... Medium size... You mean..."
øùú Varadrion asks Shandor "Medium size compared to what exactly?"
øùú Shandor says, 'It means that it is not big, and it isn't small.'
øùú Shandor turns to Varadrion, 'Medium sized when compared to something that is... um... bigger than it, and smaller than it.'
øùú Varadrion says "You are large to a mouse, and small to a dragon, but that is not a good explanation either is it"
øùú Faelnon says, 'Since we only have one baby dragon, I'd say it can't really be compared, whether it is small for its age, or large, who can tell?'
øùú Varadrion looks at Faelnon in obvious annoyance and says "It is roughly equal in size to...?"
øùú Faelnon says, 'It is roughly equal in size to... an object... which is its size.'
øùú Faelnon says, 'It is the size of a big box? I don't know, it was growing quite rapidly when it was stolen.
øùú Varadrion sighs "This is pointless, how will we know what size object we are looking for, especially if it eludes the not-so-incredible perception of the two of you?"
øùú Faelnon says, 'Yes, how will we find this baby dragon, 'cause there are just so many flying about...'
øùú Faelnon says, 'It could be about the size of two wagons?'
øùú Varadrion looks to Faelnon and says "You couldn't just say 'two wagons?'
øùú Faelnon says, 'I could've, but I wanted to eat first.'
øùú Varadrion says "Well its obviously isn't going to be just flying around, or have a sign on it that says 'DRAGON HERE' now will it"
<+Rue> OOC Wouldn't it be funny if it was flying around with a sign that said dragon here?
øùú Faelnon shrugs, 'It might do...'
<+Varadrion> ooc rue... lmao
<@Narrator> Suddenly the dragon, which is medium size, about the size of two wagons, but smaller than something, and bigger than something, swoops down at the group, a sign falls off its neck saying 'Dragon Here, duh Varadrion.'
<+Tengu> OOC lol
<+Varadrion> ooc waste of narration, lol
øùú Rue looks up. "Hm...dragon."
<+Rue> ooc that was great
<@Narrator> OOC Meh, I was bored.
øùú Shandor says, 'Perhaps so, but it might just be a normal creature, like a cat or a bird.'
øùú Varadrion says "But most birds or cats don't have the power to destroy the world"
Have you ever talked to them Varadrion? They might just be lying… Meow *boom*… It could happen.
øùú Kalypse turns to Varadrion 'Most birds or cats do not want to destroy the world'
øùú Dytalorien chuckles, "I don't know, my mommy's cat was pretty evil."

The horror…. The horror…:
<@Narrator> OOC It seems conversation is too confusing for people like Varadrion, who this session hasn't killed anything, so is getting grouchy P. Anyway, This is what is happening We woke up, we've been talking, someone is talking about the ritual and the innocence of the Child. And Tengu mentioned draong relic hunting, anything else? (then we can dive back in IC)
<+Kalypse> ooc argh, do your mothers not know either the difference between Explorer and the Internet Explorer?
<+Varadrion> my mother would eat a computer chip, don't feel so bad
<@Narrator> OOC Does my mother know what a computer is? ;)
<+Kalypse> ooc where did the story stop?
<+Rue> OOC Where did the story begin?
<+Kalypse> ooc lol
<@Narrator> OOC Where is the noose?
<@Narrator> Suddenly an asteroid falls from the sky and destroys the wagon train. The End. Go Home...... Seriously though, can we get back to 'Quest'?
<+Kalypse> ooc Colm!
<+Varadrion> ooc you have 4 friggin characters going?
<@Narrator> OOC Yes..... your point is...?
<+Kalypse> ooc Colm is mad, remember? hihi
<@Narrator> OOC I can create a few more... if you want.... 4 is hardly a record, I did the same thing in the 'Quest' Session 4.
<@Narrator> OOC Yeah, Varadrion just abandonned Faelnon, Faelnon is going to be killing someone tonight.
<@Narrator> OOC Poor me, underwater and drowning......
<@Narrator> OOC If I die I'll come back as a ghost and haunt your ass!
<@Narrator> OOC ..... and probably the rest of you too.
<+Kalypse> ooc I wonder how to leave a place where you cant follow the river or climb..
<@Narrator> OOC You can do it like Rue, trust that we'll do somethi-- OMG, we forgot about Rue! She's probably fish fodder now!
øùú Echnaton asks "north or south?"
øùú Echnaton grabs one of the woods and prepared for paddling.
øùú Shandor looks at the sky and surroundings, 'Well, we came from there-' he points one way, '-But that was the dead-end of the valley, so that way.' He finishes pointing the other way.
<+Echnaton> ooc Echi paddles in the third direction -)
øùú Ariea grins, 'I can't paddle, I'm a lady, we don't do that sort of thing you know.' In a suitably over-the-top posh accent.
<@Narrator> Echnaton suddenly has a heart attack, boo hoo. The group throw him overboard to be eaten by the eel-things.
øùú Varadrion lays back and looks to the sky
øùú Ariea prods Varadrion with the tip of her boot, 'Get paddling!'
øùú Isondil glances again back at Ariea but refrains from comment remembering what happened to the barkeeper.
øùú Varadrion raises an eyebrow at Ariea, and then picks up a piece of wood and begins paddling
See, he knows not to challenge Ariea!, Wow, she’s really gone evil this ‘Quest’…
øùú Ariea pokes Varadrion again, 'Only I may kill members of our group... Well, and Shandor if he goes Evil again...'
øùú Shandor thinks aloud "by accident", 'I've got to go Evil so I can kill Varadrion... At least I didn't say that out loud.'
<@Narrator> OOC Bring it! I have da powah!
<@Narrator> OOC Boo-yah
<@Ariea> OOC Phear meh
<@Narrator> OOC Phwar!
øùú Echnaton says to himself while paddling "This worlds fate lies in OUR hands..."
<+Varadrion> ooc scary thought huh
øùú Ariea mumbles, 'The world is screwed.'
øùú Faelnon smiles, 'Buh-bye world.'
øùú Shandor states, 'I lived a good life...'
<+Rue> ooc me points to IC. "Shh!"
<@Narrator> OOC Okay, seriously now, less OOC if we are continuing.
<+Rue> OOC Hypocrite, lol
øùú Shandor is hit by inspiration from the gods and begins chanting, 'Rue, you are the hypocrite...... for you..... speak.... from OOC........when demanding others to take part IC....... whaommmmmmmmmmmm. Oh sorry, what happened?' P
<@Narrator> OOC Everyone agree with that?
<@Narrator> No
<@Ariea> bite me
<@Narrator> Loosah!
