Tildruin FAQ
Thievery
1) Will player thieves be able to eventually break into player houses?
Yes, this eventually has to do with PK (Player-Killing).
2) Will NPC(non-player-character) thieves be walking about just waiting to break into a house?
Shailejron answers:
We don't have any AI like that.
3) If any of the last two questions are yes, will there be anyway to stop this from happening other than hiring guards?
Shailejron answers:
Foremost players will be able to craft locks and keys of different qualities.
4) In your shop, will you need to display items, if so will people be able to shoplift if you are not paying attention?
Shailejron answers:
You will not need to display them, but you can place samples of your wares on pedestals, shelves etc. for your customers to examine. Nobody can steal these items as long as the game does not feature player-kill.
5) Will rogues/thieves for example be able to steal from shops owned by other players?
Shailejron answers:
Players will not be able to steal from other players until we implement player-killing.
6) Thief is a class. Can other characters steal, even if their class is something else, or can anyone steal?
Shailejron answers:
Anyone can attempt to steal, but without proper skills they will really suck at it. Attempting to grab an item is a totally different matter than pickpocketing, something that will not be available to everyone. Thieves will endorse themselves in much more advanced robberies involving lockpicking and sneaking into closed quarters in disguise.
7) Will there be a justice system?
Shailejron answers:
There will be justice systems. We have a lot of ideas, but they have not been fully designed. We will begin work on justice system(s) (as there can be many different types) after Tildruin opens.
